Only Drogba and Neuer from the CL finalists? Every year I think it's unfair that players get in here solely based on their team winning the CL, and this year is the opposite. These awards are bull****, everythingis bull****.

I honestly can't believe there is any keeper on that list that isn't Cech. Did he not keep Chelsea in the CL a bazillion times last year? It was him, Drogba and Ramires (and Mata, sure) who got Chelsea those titles, but at least Cech was brilliant throughout the year, not like Drogs who would only play well in the big matches (not that I'm complaining).

Who cares anyway? Pep/Mourinho for the coach, Ronaldo/Messi for the player, no one else in football matters.

Turns out it had nothing to do with finalists; Barca is always a finalist, but that's not why their players win these awards. I agree that Messi should win and Ronaldo is second, but you can at least put our players on the finalist list. And I completely agree with Cech over Neuer. Not even close.

Buffon was pretty good, conceded the least goals and was a big reason for undefeated season, but yeah Cech was huge in the CL

Yeah discussing this as the 20 finalists makes much more sense than the two/three who take it. I mean honestly, two of Messi's prizes should have been won by Sneijder and Iniesta.

I don't think either of them deserve it, honestly. Klopp, sure had a great double-winning season in Germany, but absolutely abysmal in Europe, and the opposite is true for the this seaosn. Pirlo has been meh this season from my understanding, didn't even play in Europe last season, and despite a good showing in the Euros, his team lost the finals. I think continental achievements should have more weight, they've always had.

You guys are just tired of Messi. Same reason why Steve Nash won the MVP over Shaq. Just give it to the best player. Messi has literally had the greatest year for a goal scorer in the history of the world. And he's also his team's primary playmaker.
