Milan have virtually beaten every European superpower since that winning campaign.
Lyon
Real Madrid
Bayern Munich
Borrussia Dortmund
Juventus
Inter
Roma
Barcelona
Manchester United
Deportivo (twice with four goals, mind you )
Ajax
I dont think there is any club in Europe that has beaten this crop of teams in the past two/three years.
And Milan didnt play Catenaccio while beating them.
I think they did in those games and in the last 2 games with Inter they did too...
anyways i wouldn't mind my team using this style as long as it brings them success...my point has always been that over using the Catenaccio had made it harder for italian teams to come back into games when they're in need of goals.... Italy vs Korea is a great example....another is why Rivaldo,Henry and Bergkamp didn't settle becuase of the lack of freedom to create and finish.....
Whatever Works though
