Got to talking about the World Cup last night and one guy came out with that cracker of a statement.

So, if Robinson, G. Neville, R. Ferdinand, Terry & Ashley Cole REALLY IS the world's best defence, there's gonna be tons of goals in Germany this summer.

From a neutral point of view, I've got to say England defence is not as bad as someone is pointing out. 2 class CB and a fast LB. I've got some doubts about Neville's response at his age, but he could compensate all his problems with his huge experience.

Italy, Spain, Argentina, Czech Republic, Denmark, Holland & France.

And that's just the ones I can think of without hesitation.

Although I should point out that the defence I set out for England isn't necessarily the one I would pick if I was Eriksson. I'd have Ledley King instead of Ferdinand. And b4 someone says it, I know King is injured right now.

In quality players...yes...England's defense is awesome. Gary Nevile, Ferdinand, Terry, Ashley Cole. But what counts is what they do on the field, not in the paper.
