Love you Kaka', you'll always be in our hearts, you've been the classiest player that has ever played for Ac Milan, and we are blessed to have been a part of your career. Thank you for everything! Grazie! Forza Kaka'!!

Kaka':

“I wanted to stay on at Milan, but the global economic crisis has affected many clubs, especially those like Milan that run as a business,”

“I spoke with the directors and we agreed that the transfer would be in everybody’s interests at this moment in time.”

****!!!!!!! HE WAS PUSHED OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!
BERLUSCONI AND GALLIANI WILL BE UNDER FIRE FOR THIS!!!!

it's a tough one to take for Milan fans, I'm sure ... and the sale of Gourcuff for "cheap" makes even less sense now ... I wonder what Leonardo's demands are in terms of players he wants brought in ...

Well Deni, think of things positively. Kaka has had a recurring injury(not sure what it was), I'm sure this will work for the best. Milan has seen great players like Van Basten, Baresi, all leave before, adding Maldini to that recently.

Understandably Kaka's attachment to Milan fans(especially since he's their most recent cult figure) is strong but I'm sure with all the money they have for him, Milan will find itself a new hero. The rebuilding starts now, Leonardo should understand that Milan need to reduce the age/or experience as they call it, in the squad. Players like Kaladze, Ambrosini, Inzaghi, all great servants need to be let go or reduced to minor roles at the club, if Milan are to move forward.

It'll be hard for Milan fans(mind you, it'll be hard for most of us(except Real fans :P) seeing Kaka in a Real shirt), but whatever happens to him with Madrid shouldn't be in your concern, unless you guys by any chance play each other.
Milan is a great club with great prestige, if the fans stay strong and patient, I'm sure it'll lift itself up again. I heard Dzeko will be on your sights and hope you guys get him, along with new players(younger players that is).

Keep yer chin up Milan fans. It's always hard when a legend departs, same feeling to us when Zola left. But in a way, it helped us to be more independent, for the players(who previously relied heavily on his brilliance) and for the fans as well(to be less spoiled when it comes having such as a class act).
Life goes on.

Oh and btw, why is it when Chelsea and (City recently) make astronomically(yet inexistant) bids, people are saying we're ruining football, but when Madrid make deals or buy players with ludicrous amounts of money, its fair for their galacticos policy? Good lord. :(

Madrid did not pay anywhere close to what you (allegedly) and City paid. City is said to be ruining football because players are said to move there with money as the priority (not my words). To be fair though Madrid can get those players cheaper than any EPL team (due to taxes etc. saw an article will try and find it and post it).

Excuse me sir, but paid is a past tense form. You're contradicting yourself by using "paid" in "allegedly paid" since you yourself are aware of the fact that those deals aren't confirmed to be existent. How can the money be paid, if the deal hasn't even gone through.
Players do move for money. Its a simple as that. Its one of their main reasons for deciding to move in the first place.

I don't give a toss about articles written by some other chap, I just don't like double standards and hypocrisy.

As funny as that pic might be. Kaka was probably pushed/persuaded by B and G to leave citing financial crisis in Milan.
Kaka doesn't strike me as the type of person who says "I'm not leaving Milan, leave me in peace" only to change his mind 3 days later.
Inter fans will be happy, no doubt. :)

What I should have said was offered. Allegedly was reffering to Chelsea because they denied making the offer reported by the media. No, players do not always move with money as the prime aim why is Kaka not in City? Why is Berbatov not in City?(apologies to City fans if you are offended). The term ruining football is more specifically related to the destruction of the competitive nature of football that we all enjoy, in favour for financial glory instead. You for example have a list of trophies your team has won as your sig not your owners financial status, because that's what defines your club in your opinion. A player says he wants to move to a big club like Real or Milan or Barcelona, because he wants to play at a high level, not to the UAE where he could earn a ridiculous amount of money.

Why is Kaka not in City? Because it was mid-season. He mentioned it himself.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=653534&sec=transfers&cc=3888

And also because Real made quite a good offer despite not matching City's. Also for Berbatov, if Utd didn't come in for 30++ odd Mil quids at the last moment, he would've moved to City anyway, couldn't see him staying at Spurs.
Think of it this way. Player A wants to move for blablabla reasons, one of them being money.
Club B offers Player A 60 Million Quid but Club B is not a prestigious club. Club C comes in and offers 40-50 Million Quid, and Club C is a more established club with HISTORY(because everybody likes to learn about history).

So to a club(no prestige) offering 60 million or to a club offering 50 million(yes prestige)?

I think u can figure the rest out.

And as I mentioned above, Kaka's case seems to be different, as he is not the one making the full decision. I'm sure he preferred to stay at Milan, but was probably convinced that he needed to move to help the club in their financial crisis.

if it's just coz you are an Inter fan, and you want to keep up appearances, then continue by all means ...

but if not, or for others who agree with that picture:

1) THE CLUB EXECUTIVES' ROLE
Milan could have declared Kaká "untransferable", and refused to accept any bid ... but the team is growing stale, and Berlusconi cannot or does not want to fork out a fortune to rebuild the squad ...

when the sheikhs at Man Citeh came in with a big offer, Milan gladly accepted, leaving the final decision to Kaká -- who was put under tremendous pressure due to the amount of transfer money that Milan were in position to receive ... I'm sure he turned it down for sporting reasons (after apparent duress) ...

but it seems that Milan have made it clear to him that they need the cash, and selling him would bring in as much or more than selling 2 or even 3 other players ... since it is Real Madrid -- a prestigious team that will perennially push for silverware at home and in Europe -- Kaká has reluctantly accepted ...

2) PAY-CUT
if the figures in the press are to be believed, Kaká has taken a salary pay-cut to move to Real Madrid ... he was level with Zlatan at €12M per annum (I think), and now he's down by 3 million a year ... that allowed Real Madrid to pay a higher transfer fee to Milan ...

3) HYPORCRISY
it would be monumentally hypocritical of the majority of people in the world -- let alone football fans -- to label Kaká as "money hungry" ... people chase paper, whether they like it or not, coz that's just what the system imposes upon you ... most people who accuse others are quite greedy themselves ... any retorts made with regards to relative amounts of money should not be bothered with, because it would be a hollow argument ...

I think most of this is known / should be known for any football fan with access to the net and with a modicum of intelligence ...
