I'm just wondering how this PSG cash earthquake fits into UEFA fair play category. Maybe french teams are exceptions.

I don't like this Arab game at all.

You know what, me too, Milan didn't have the power to keep Sheva in Italy, they sold Kaka' even though he didn't want to leave, ****ed up with Pirlo's contract offer, and are now giving Thiago Silva against his will, and even Ibra was not keen on going away, he just wants a strong team which means Milan would have to buy 2 more players like Silva and him not sell. Berlusconi is ruining Milan, let him fall to the bottom so that everyone has a clear picture of what a scumbag he is.
P.s. Just read an interview of Silva's wife saying that Thiago wants to stay and that he's pissed at Milan for playing with him. And that he wants to meet with Curva Sud to tell them that he loves the club and it's not his decision. He doesnt want to be a mercenary.
Wow, in 10 years Milan has gone from Elite to a Class-less club.
Well, Forza Milan! :-(

Let's be honest here, he wasn't in that much of an exciting league in Italy in the first place, but PSG, ****, a player like Silva should play either for Real or Barca if he leaves a club like Milan. Or go to the EPL. In France he's practically only going to get motivated for CL games. I just wish PSG some luck in CL. And I want to say that I'm really not pissed at clubs like Man City, PSG, Chelsea or any club that pays big money for players, the bottom line is that the club that has the player on contract is the only one that can actually make it happen, so, every club shows it's ambition. IMO Tottenham has had 10 times more balls than Milan in the last couple of years in both buying players and not getting bullied to sell. It's obvious that Berlusconi has no hunger and motivation to keep Milan as high as Barca, Real and United are. It's sad, because Milan has brilliant history. I'd rather that he sold them for less money to bigger clubs though.

I'm just wondering how PSG rival and their fans feel at the moment, PSG suddenly became the dominant force in transfer market and other French competitors can barely hold on to their top stars. Very sad to see Milan like this.

Well I mean if they reinvest that 60m wisely it may not be so bad but I cant see it happening. I get the feeling that Berlusconi is cashing out and generally winding down his public life now, preparing to go and live out his days on an island somewhere, one with no extradition treaty with Italy or minimum age of consent.

AC MILAN Management = mafiosos

I don't understand this transfer? do you have people to replace Zlatan and Silva? How much does this change the overall quality of the squad? or were they simply rotational players? Haven't had the chance to follow Milan since the kaka era. :(

Lol @ people saying this deal is bad. Milan are making a smart financial decision. They lose a great loyal center back which could have probably been in the first team for them for the next decade. But in italy you can bring in a great new defender and still do ok. The money they got was large for a defender and milan usually do a good job of popping a good one up.

They didn't win the league last year. They were able to make a nice sale of Zlatan (he wouldn't have had such a high bid put in for him ever again) and get rid of his big contract. Personally I think he is replaceable, not in terms of style but in terms of general performance. If the move was alone for Zlatan for 30mil it would have been more of a clear good move. They got a couple good years out of him after leaving barca and with him being older now its not a bad sale. They can rework their style and bring in some youngins.

Yeah, I think that's fair. I think it's just shocking that PSG are making the offer.
still? after 100 mil spent last season, including Javier Pastore for 42+?

the deal is bad coz they're only going to reinvest a small portion of the incoming revenue (just like with the 65 mil they got for Ricky Kakà) ... which means the club lacks ambition, and which thus voluntarily removes the historic club from anywhere near the elite echelon of football ...

it'll definitely be easier to replace a striker, even if he was Capocannoniere ... I mean, they're already talking about getting Carlitos again ... and possibly Džeko as well ...

their real problem is that there aren't too many great young defenders around who can be picked up on the cheap ... that said, Thiago Silva was injured quite a few times last season, and Milanisti have realized a long while back that they can't really cope without him in Europe, but they can get by against the lesser teams domestically, which will keep them in the hunt up the table ...

on that note, Allegri has pretty much said during his pre-season press conferences that the objective for the coming season for Milan is the Scudetto (with anything more -- i.e. Champions League progress -- a bonus) ... that, to me, is just pathetic ... and unless they pull a rabbit out of the hat, they don't likely to even make the Champions League places ...

Well, we have the players to play instead of ibra and a defender will come in for thiago, but all this is just becoming really frustrating for i guess any Milan fan, I mean, now we're definitely not going to build a legacy, anytime a Milan player becomes world class from now on, i am going to expect us to cash in on him. That's pathetic for Milan, Milan was a myth in the nineties and I never taught we'd look like this!

I mean , Pato and Cassano will play in attack, we definitely need a quality striker to come in to rotate with them, but, well, if Pato has a great season, I see him at Chelsea or City, or Real the year after, so what's the point? Sell him now. Buy a piece of **** player that's going to be happy playing for us and that nobody will want to buy from us, and at least we'll have stability as a ****ty team. :) Milan's glory days are over :clapwap:

No, I guess that part isn't shocking. Maybe more that the players are willing to listen at any price. Pastore was a shock, but he still hadn't REALLY broken out as a big star (and still hasn't), but Zlatan and Silva are completely different. It's just unusual that they would even consider PSG considering how hard it is for even Bayern to land players at times.

Regarding Milan's ambitions, I think they're realistic. Every year the gap widens. They can't compete with Real, Barca, Bayern, the English clubs, and the sheik owned clubs financially as long as they play in that dump of a rented stadium. They need to step up their marketing outside of Italy too, because I'd put them as the 4th best known club in the world, but their financial associations are pathetic. But anyway, we discussed all this before, and there's a very extensive post on the Swiss Ramble that was linked earlier.

I hear reports of Kaka coming back to AC Milan. if so this is probably the best thing happen to the club/player at the moment of time.

Aren't there any good young Italian players out there? Kaka would not be the same as what he was.

I mean, why not try to sign someone who wants to stay with MilanÉ
