ahh, what a night. Pippo Inzaghi, a freaking legend. Its seriously just unbeliveable how this guy continues to score, his positioning is out of this planet, because god knows he cant dribble anybody. He was just brilliant, hats off to him.
The game was pretty bad otherwise. This thread is entertaining tho, people whining about Milan's luck, doesnt anyone remember 2 years ago? They ******* ran over Pool like a tank, and lost, why repeat the same mistake twice?

Im no fan of Milan, more a fan of Inzaghi (and the best striker duo thats going to form next year, Pippo and Fatty), but against Pool, i was all in . We were drinking all night to Superpippo, again, what a night .

edit: about the extra time, it wasnt going to make a difference, and Benitez looked like a Carlos*ass arguing. His subs were off too, Crouch was way too late, he took off his best player, etc. In general, Gerrard didnt carry his team, and thats what made the difference. And yeah, the pope didnt die.

I dont think Benitez really wanted to argue about the added time. He just felt lost after a rather good display but with defeat. He felt he had to complain about something.

I think it's bad for football though, that a club who cheated and shouldn't even been allowed into the CL wins it in the end. It shows you can cheat and still win the biggest cup for clubs.

Yeah maybe they did cheat... But they got punished for it. And since they did, they deserve to win this cup. Congrats to Milan, an Italian team, which has proved again that ITALIAN football is and will reamin a quality football.

Many of you have critisized italian football, saying it is ugly and whatever other things cam to your mind... Well how do you critisize a nation who in a year's time won a WORLD CUP and a CL?

Thank god Liverpool didn't win or we would have never heard the end of it, Congrats to Milan especially players like Seedorf, Maldini, Kladze, Inzaghi and Cafu who have been so consistent at the highest level despite their age. Kaka was out of it tonight i was hoping he would shine but Macherano did a good job on him, really was Inzaghis night scoring 2 goals in the final is something special.

Did Milan beat Celtic, Bayern and Man Utd by playing defensive? Did Inter play cantenaccio? Heck, Roma beat Man Utd at home and did they play defensive at Old Trafford? (well they should have, but it proves my point)

well, in an obviously biased view, Liverpool werent the better team by far.

In 2005 Milan were crushing Liverpool for 114 minutes, had a goal disallowed, had Gerrard dive for a PK, had Dudek save two point blank Shevchenko shots in succession in extra time.

I do not want to start up fights of any sort. But top call Milan "uncrowned Serie-A champ this season" is absolutley a lie, or a plain trace of ignorance regarding last year's Serie A. For you information, Milan have lost both derbies against inter this season. And, you would call them champions? Even without the -8 point penealty, Inter would still have remained on top....

So why did the :drevil:master tactician:drevil: start the game with a has been like Zenden and then replace him with another has been like Kewell? Not very masterly in my opinion. Theyare both very bad.

And with a four man defence instead of a ten man defence, Liverpool's defence sucks. Carragher and Agger were awful. Gerrard was nothing tonight. Alonso spent all night fouling people. The only Liverpool players who did well were Pennant and Risse. Even Kuyts goal was offside.

I think the Liverpool team had the same problem as the Liverpool fans.....overconfidence.

At the end of the day, ( as one Liverpool fan recently told me), the best team on the night is the team that scores the most goals.

My sympathy goes out to the nicer 'pool fans on here, (you know who you are guys). As for the rest......well, you know.
