haha freaking STOP this "Italian Football is defensive" cliche. Really, its getting old.
C'mon, be honest, you invented catenaccio. Oh and you did play defensive versus Celtic BTW. Twice 0-0 and than decided by a moment of brilliance by Kaka.
There's nothing wrong with playing defensive, it just makes matches boring
cheating? even if Milan did cheat, they cheated in Serie A and like Hamsworth said, got punished for it. It has nothing to do with CL.
Frankly, because Milan was allowed in the CL, they weren't punished at all. They and the ones that made Milan cheat would've been really punished if they wouldn't get the money from the CL.

And as Cody said, a club that cheats shouldn't be allowed on the highest stage of global football. That's just it.
And obviously they have cheated, otherwise they wouldn't have been found guilty and got points deducted.

Congrats to Maldini, real football legend!
About the game
Macherano was excellent, Gerrard tried his best but still, that wasn't his best night
Pennant, what to say about him, he run, run, run and run but he wasn't that effective, Oddo can to that also.

Rafa was "our best player" this season, we need to but some world clas players this summer, lets start with Macherano

Here are the clips if anyone wants to take a look at that night again, store it on their computer, and analyse the game..

0-0 vs Celtic doesnt mean we played defensive :|

Gilardino was super crap in those games and Boruc was excellent for Celtic even if he did got beat but the ball hit the bar.

I really wonder why people dont have a "catenaccio" term for English teams when it is apparent that teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, Bolton and all play extremely boring games.

I do not want to start up fights of any sort. But top call Milan "uncrowned Serie-A champ this season" is absolutley a lie, or a plain trace of ignorance regarding last year's Serie A. For you information, Milan have lost both derbies against inter this season. And, you would call them champions? Even without the -8 point penealty, Inter would still have remained on top....
The 8 point deduction gave your club an edge at the start of the season, and that's a fact. Inter got their ass kicked 6 goals against Roma, a club we raped 6 goals, and we got raped 3 goals by Milan.

Let's see next season when everyone starts with the same points, and same preparation without having to fuss with the scandal ****s.

Bah i wanted Liverpool to win because with this one Milan gets their 16th international titlle, which leaves us behind....:(

Overall it wasn't the best Champions League final but eh a final is a final.

I didn't really get that thing of taking off a defender to bring in Abreloa, which isn't exactly an attacking man, when Liverpool was already down in the score.

Milan dont play defensive. they're just stifled by teams like Celtic who put 8 men behind the ball because they're up against a "big team" like Milan, it's pretty common nowadays. look what we did against teams that aren't afraid to go at us (Bayern, ManUtd) and give us space to attack :|

And the striker revealed his first goal, with a deflection from Andrea Pirlo's free-kick was a rehearsed move.

"I managed to do it against Empoli in the derby last year," he said. "Every now and again we manage to pull it off. We rehearse it with the manager.

He meant to do it.(H)

I KNEW IT!!! (H)

The UEFA representative blamed Liverpool fans for causing trouble at the stadium. And people who had tickets but werent allowed in were trying to force their way in.

"He said in England this is the behaviour" of football fans. Well at least England has taken steps to deal with crowd trouble adn racism. We've taken down fences and stadiums are now safer so families can come to matches. Whenever we had a pitch invasion the rest of the crowd have shown their dissaproval and this hardly happens and only at lower division clubs.

That statement is a bit pathetic. English fans have caused trouble this season. But they have refrained from bringing swastikas, fireworks and flares to the stadium. England has done better than most countries when it comes to handing out stadium bans and stopping real hooligans from travelling or going to games for life.

But i'm sure we still sing anti semitic songs and raise a straight arm here in England. Stupid statements from suits who should know better.:nape:

Liverpool "fans" snuck in with forged tickets, and in some cases no tickets at all. They beat up their own fans to steal their tickets. They stormed the entrances. They then bragged about it one Sky Sports News and on the radio. Scum. No-one to blame but themselves. So-called fans. The only way to stop these Liverpool "fans" is to ban them from away fixtures. Unfortunately it is the proper fans that suffer. But Liverpool will play the victim card. Those bastards put people's lives at risk last night, and have not learned their lessons from previous disasters. The club does not deserve sanctions, but the fans have to be punished for their actions.

Now if that aint arrogant overconfidence then I dont know what is. What an embarrasing photograph that is.

There is a big row going on at the moment because Liverpool fans with tickets could not get into the stadium. They were refused entry because other Liverpool "fans", either got into the stadium with forged tickets or because "many hundreds" of Liverpool fans WITHOUT tickets rushed en masse the barriers and forced their way into the stadium. In the Liverpool end supporters were 3 to a seat and all the aisles were also packed with "illegitimate" fans.

The unfortunate Liverpool fans who were refused entry to the stadium were told that they would not be allowed in because the stadium was already full, thanks to the morons that forced their way through the barriers.

When I heard this today, I immediately thought of Hillsborough. Do you think these idiotic moronic wankers that forced their way into the stadium without tickets, probably become all tearfull and filled with sorrow at the mention of Hillsborough. Are they hypocrite enough to wave their scarves and sing the songs when Hillsborough is remembered?

Last night these pricks could have caused another Hillsborough. Maybe some of these offenders were indeed among the ticketless Liverpool fans who flooded and overcrowded the stand behind the goal that dreadful day.

The police at Hillsborough who we all know were inept to say the least said at the time that, if the ticketless fans were kept outside there would be a riot. Last night the Greek police said the same thing.

WTF is it with these ignorant selfish twats? This is the sort of behaviour that will get all English teams banned from Europe once more. Liverpool fans managed to do that to us before at the Heysel stadium and last night they tarnished the image of the English fan abroad once again.

I just do not understand how retarded some people are.

I'm not unhappy that Liverpool lost, not at all. I feel for my Liverpool friends of course, but to those fans last night who risked getting people killed AND kept their fellow Liverpool fans from watching a game that they had legitimately bought tickets for, I hope they are suffering very badly at the loss. They are a disgrace to English football. They are a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club.

I don't see anything wrong with it. You think they have time to organize this kind of bus right after the event? They'll just do it before hand. Same with "<team name> winners of <event>" t-shirts, hats etc you see handed to team on stadium after winning. You think this merchandise is pressed in 5 minutes after the match is done? I know it's shocking for you but it's done long before the actual match.

Exactly my point.

It takes 2 hours to dress a bus like that but Liverpool did it too far in advance mate. They expected to win and they lost.

Scarves, tee shirts and hats are produced by traders hoping to make a buck or two on the back of Liverpool. This bus was organised by LFC themselves. Arrogant and over confident.
