hurhurhurhur. That headbutt is the greatest and single most funniest moment in my short period of vewing the WC......I mean, at the time, I had 70 dollars for France to win and was ******* pissed that he'd put the team in such a precarious situation, but I couldn't stop howling, man. Even as Trez missed that penalty and I was losing my money, all that was in my head was that headbutt.

And now that some are reporting that Heroic Materazzi Purple Nurpled 'em, it's becoming even funnier and more legendary.

ok my two cents on the Zidane-Materazzi incident:

IF, Materazzi and Zidane had both been sent off then I would justify Italy's win on equity, h/e his (materazzi) still being on the field and even being allowed to take the pk was quite contradictory on FIFA's "Say No to Racism" campaign.

Materazzi shouldn't and won't be let off for his role in the incident. I'm not condoning Zidane's headbutt but that should also mean that Materazzi's slurs should be equally comdemned as they are against the laws and basic prinicples of the game.

It's a shame that some players have to resort to boorish tactics to get their pt across... eventually this kinda (both the violence and racism) will be rooted out and it has to have everyone's belief and support. The Fans, Players, Staff, Clubs/NTs and FIFA. Everyone.
