i lol'd at this, he's french born to algerian inmigrants, yeah it was a great national team, one that won a world cup got to 2 world cup finals and won a euro cup.

No, i'm not.
I just dont like to see 6 argentinians in the WC that are not playing for Argentina, 2 polishs that aren't playing for Polland but for Germany, 4 or 5 brazilians that are not playing for Brazil, and a french NT with 8 african players in the starting lineup.
And that has nothing to do with racism.

Maybe FIFA should change the name of the WC to Teams Cup, or at least change the fixtures to for example:
3rd and 4rd place - Germany plus Polland VS Portugal with a brazilian
Final - Italy plus argentinian VS 3 Frenchs and Africa

So I guess if a player is born in one country but has origins from another, he just shouldn't be allowed to play in the world cup? :rolleyes:

No, thats different.
Ok, Zidane and alot others are ok, cause they're already born in France.
But there were tons of players in the WC that weren't born in the countries they played for, they just got he double citizenship for being able to play for the country they were not bor in.
Come on, Klose and Podolski are both from Polland, Deco ins brazilian, Camoranesi and more 5 argentinian playing for other countries, a few Brazilians in mexico, japan, iran...

Nowt wrong with nationalisation. I could play for Ireland, Scotland or India, despite being born in Gateshead.
