pele was better in every way, from what ive seen
i think the reason rooney gets so much hype from english praise is because england dont usually produce this type of skillful player who is skilled with pace that can easily penetrate. the only players now who can do that in the squad are dyer and rooney. why dyer wasnt given a chance i have no idea.
for the next world cup i see pennant,milner and dyer playing prominent roles

Pele is the king (if he was playing today, he would still be better than Ronaldo and Zidane). Rooney is still young and is far from his prime, but in some ways he's much like Pele. Pele was an overnight sensation, so was Rooney. They're both goal scoring machines. He's hungry for the ball, the only thing I can see stopping him is an injury.

Zagorakis is very good; i wa very impressed by his talent;Robben is very good but maybe too young as he sometimes loses valuable opportunities and sometimes is too selfish like C.Ronaldo.
I'm surprised there's no Kapsis;he was a rock in the defence;remember he chipped the golden oppotunity of scoring from Trezegue's head and he remained calm and very good through the whole tournament. Basinas is a very good holding player too with very good long balls but he was sometimes inconsistent.
