I dont normally care much about it either except for wanting GB to get as many medals as possible, but as this one's in London I feel I have a national obligation to be into it, especially in the company of you foreigners....... (H)

I'm all into it. I love the swimming and track (running and jumping), basketball and as my sisters both did gymnastics they tend to always watch that so I'll watch it too. Football obviously but I don't really care for the olympic football tournament to be honest. I'll even watch **** like javelin and judo.

Yeah I guess I like it more than I said. Women's gymnastics is always pretty fun although the men's gymnastics loses some of the magic, I don't know why... and I'm usually only attracted to 1 or 2 of the gymnasts as they tend to be 14 and have delayed the onset of puberty by training. Last time it was Shawn Johnson; loved that 16 year old cutie.

Basketball I care about a little, although we always win easily so it's not as exciting. It still IS cool to basically see the best 5 players in the world on the court at the same time, shame there are injuries this year.

Football I usually care about less than track, swimming, gymnastics because the USA is awful, but Sydney 2000 was fun for our team despite the retarded moron coach leaving 17 year old Landon Donovan on the bench the entire time. I had never seen him play before and was so excited. Instead we got Conor Casey knocking 10 balls over the bar each game. Landy got on against Kuwait in our last group game and of course scored. Then we lost to the Xavi/Puyol team in the Semis.

Americans should absolutely love the Olympics as it is literally the only time you ever get to watch Americans beat the rest of the world in things people actually care about.....

It was expected that it was not going to be the Phelps show like in 2008. Lochte totally blew away the field in the 400 IM, he was gonna win the moment he went faster than Phelps in the butterfly leg.

Missy Franklin (the one at 25secs) looks like a fun girl to hang out with.

I've been watching them full on, pretty much been going for at least 12 hours as we speak...It's so un-australian to do any different, the media, people and everything takes it so serious, I guess it's why we do so much better than a country of our populance should

There are some parts of the olympics I absolutely love. The big races are always great, I also love the rowing and sailing but because of our maritime history, and I am a big boxing fan and think olympic boxing is actually a really great standard despite the faggoty safety rules.

The most competitive and exciting part of the Olympics for me is whether or not we can get more medals than Australia.....

As is all of ours, did you hear Cavendish's excuses after the cycling? Uncalled for really he blamed his loss on the Australian team not helping him..

There are too many swimming medals. I propose that we have track events like "backwards run" "crab walk" and "skipping"

I've always thought that, but then again the steeple chase is pretty ridiculous albeit interesting

Yeah I did think that was particularly pathetic - saying the reason you didnt win something is because the opposing teams tried to prevent you from winning is pushing it a bit........ what exactly was he expecting them to do!?

I do fear that our boys put in such a magnificent effort in the tour de france that they might not have enough left for the olympics.....

There are some ridiculous non-event events in the olympics, like "solo synchronized swimming" (how the **** is that even possible?), dressage, air rifle shooting and women's football.

I expected that too, wish the Olympic committee had put it on later... Although I wouldn't be too surprised either if the gold medal winner gets done for doping again.

I think one of the more ridiculous events was the 10m Air pistol shooting.

I think Cavendish's comments were the cycling equivalent of Barcelona complaining about "anti-football" however..
