Same as me, i will buy it depending on the demo..

If the gameplay is new and awesome, i will buy. Just like WC2002, whole new gameplay, but still have some problems and bugs there...

If the computer AI is like the WE6, ohya.....sure buy.

Sorry, my english is poor.

Well, i think that i'm gonna buy it. I'm a big fan of this game, and i'm playing it since FIFA 96, or since the first FIFA.
Of course, i think that FIFA 98 was the best FIFA so far, of couse versions like 2000 and 2002 really dissapointed me.
I've read the news about FIFA 2003, and IF ea will do exactly like that, well, it could be a really good game. Of course i'm still waiting the football game which will be hybrid between Manager and FIFA.

Pes2 and Fifa 2003 should be released around about the same time here in Aussie, so my money will go on Pes2, if the guys in EB have a demo of Fifa 2003 running, maybe i might spend the time that it takes to walk from the counter to the exit to look at it, say about 4 seconds in total, anymore time wasted looking at it would probably make me fell ratshyte and would probably start me off throwing up in the car on my way back to my hovel, and stuff that, i mean who would want to throw up in a V8 Commodore. :)

buy it when ALL of the following conditions exist...

1) Really realistic gameplay
2) complete roster from all the major leagues in the world
3) it's better than the winning eleven series

I said that FIFA 98 was the best FIFA so far. Why? Well. because only in that FIFA ball didn't stick to player's feet. And, there was more stadiums, including indoor stadium, and much, much more then new FIFA versions.

That still doesn't make a good soccer game...
It may have everything to please your eyes with more stadiums and stuff... but the gameplay still sucks...

I hear many people say FIFA98 was the best.
I've tried playing it again many times, but still found the game to be dull and boring.

Who gives sh#t about stadiums and the amount of teams when the gameplay still sucks.

I actually found it more amusing to play the older WE series than FIFA98.

Nope, I'm not gonna buy it. Konami's KCET in WE6/PES is so real in football, from passing, shoot, long pass, 1-2 pass, everything. The only complain is there are not so many leagues/teams, I must admit that. But, who cares ?! The EA never achieves so close the gameplay with PES/WE.

I guess EA would still survive in soccer gaming industry if many of u are gonna buy it.

#2- yeah, probably. #1- better than what we have now, but still probably not super realistic #3- dream on :mambo:

I think EA will give up the soccergaming market after the failure of 2003... (IFF)

since Konami has been doing so well in the WE6 series... if EA cannot make up a brandnew gameplay/whatever that attracts the customers... EA is gonna quit the market... it's foreseeable.

EA would be a fool to give up on FIFA. After all, it is their best selling sports franchise worldwide. Even if they rehashed the same game, people are gullible enough to buy it because it has the license. EA would only give up on FIFA if it doesn't sell meaning you all stop buying it. That will NEVER happen because there is always a sucker born every minute. If you are making ton of money on a product why give up on it. This is a business. It is all about the profit.

I think the succes (business-wise) of EA has to do with the platform they made it. They use the PC; not anybody has a playstation 2 or so.
I know, you can play ISS-PRO-evolution soccer 2 on an emulator (this older ISS-game is still better than any FIFA product) but people want to play the newest games.
I have read a topic on the ISS/PES forum, saying Konami may want to enter the PC with games like PES, which would be great is that's true.
You can read about it here and at the bottom of that topic I made a translation into English from that Dutch article...
If this is true, it is over for EA, UNLESS they do the most unlikely thing: REALLY improve their gameplay...
