Wouldn't have minded the loss as much had that **** not scored on our ground. Disappointing performance, would have been different 11 on 11...

No...

Would have been different had Silva scored the heel flick in the first min of the game

I agree, the red card really affected the game.

Well, unfortunately he needed to leave and it was for much more than just footballing reasons. Quality player, but he needed to get out of Arsenal and England for that matter.

Just wondering did Silvestre already suck at Arsenal or did he just start to play that bad after joining Bremen? He is the worst Bundesliga player since Christian Lell.

LOL he's been **** since being at United.

Not only did he suck but he was signed from a rival team, less said about fishface....the better.

Plus he was the only player in our team to win a CL trophy, made us feel awful.

This time last week (after loss to Newcastle) our season looked in real trouble, but two good away wins and a somewhat shocking Chelsea loss puts us right back within touching distance. A win next weekend against Spuds would put our home form back on track and have our season really looking up again. Hopefully we can avoid injuries with the international friendlies this week and keep putting the pressure on a stumbling Chelsea.

I just want another moment like this tomorrow, I still haven't gotten over last season's disaster plus I'm tired of hearing this and that about van der Faart and Donkey Kong being the greatest thing ever to happen to football.

Cesc and Nasri >>> that pair. The city is ours!

1. We lost this game because we were outsmarted. Time and time again it shows that we are poor at managing games- the only thing we really know how to do when we have a 2-0 lead is to keep attacking in that same way (but with less intensity because of complacency from the 2 goal lead.) Spurs, on the other hand, were smart. They knew they were still well in it, even down 2-0, and they waited for their chances on the counterattack and set pieces and put them away. There should be times where we sit back and let the other team have the ball, and wait for our chances on the counterattack, rather than the other way around. Spurs waited for their moments, we had no sense of where are moments were.

2. We lost this game because Spurs had more character. We've fallen into the very nasty habit of losing games at home- in this respect we've sunken to new lows this year. Now when we fall behind at home we are all to comfortable with the idea that we might lose, and for not the first time today, we failed to get an equalizer when we needed it. A team with great character wouldn't have lost today; I'm not saying we never come overcome adversity, I just think too often we stumble. This is a painful loss, and I think this team needs a real turnaround if we can expect to win the title, but I don't know where this turnaround would come from, so at the moment I find it very hard to envision us winning the title.

Halo guys, shame 4 yesterday, I know its hard to accept a similar defeat expecially if u were winning 2-0......information about Abou Diaby guys, I don't see him on the pitch since 6 weeks, whats his physical condition and when he's coming down from the injury? He's my favourite Gunners' player.....:smilex:
