Barcelona should've had a penalty in the first half, and he forgave Koscielny a second yellow card on the penalty. Bad calls on both sides, difference is that Arsenal have done nothing to deserve the match. I take that back, they just had their first chance on goal but Bendtner botched it.
No...
One controversial call against Arsenal (that's not true btw but I'll let it slide), but that call absolutely ruined the game. You say Van Persie wasn't involved: well yes he wasn't getting in behind the defense and getting shots on goal, but his sending off absolutely did make a difference. After Van Persie was sent off, Arsenal had no hope of retaining possession in the Barca half, and you can be sure that Arsenal would have pushed a lot harder for their second goal if RVP was on the field. You can say Arsenal never did anything with Van Persie on the field, but Arsenal are a confidence team, and before Van Persie got sent off they were well in the game with their confidence increasing. I'm convinced that if he stayed on the pitch Arsenal would have had at least a few brief spells of being on top.
Also, the foul on Messi in the first half was outside of the box, so no that wasn't a penalty, and who gives a **** that Koscielny should have been sent off after the penalty, the game was over by that point anyway.
Anyway, good luck to Barca for the rest of the competition.
