Arsenal- Man U the rivalry

Well its clear to me, that the most intense rivalry in england now is between arsenal and man united, from what is said to the manager, from the people on the street, to people on this forum

Do u guys think this rivalry will last as long as the big rivalries between the milan teams, Barca and Real, Boca and rival plate etc.

Of course if arsenals new stadium comes through and arsenal become a massive club, will this become a factor.

I think this feud has become bigger than manchester derbies and north london derbies.

What do you all think

Will north VS South last more than 10 years

Yea, as long as someone can steal a bit of the spotlight from Man Utd they'll hate them with a passion....Arsenal just need a worthy rival, something spurs really aren't right now.

With Beckham gone, I can officially say I despise ManU.

Of course there are a few players you have to admire; RVN,Veron, Brown and the younger Keane; but I can honestly say that a rival is a true rival when you enjoy watching them lose, and I enjoy watching LPool and ManU lose.

I never thought of Tottenham as a rival, but what pisses me off is that they still think they are; and they produce in the derby matches.
No other team clattered Arsenal as they did at WHL.

as for the "become a massive club"..................me no like.

Someone forgot to tell me we aren't a "massive club", because if Arsenal isn't a "massive club" then whats the criteria?

I think Arsenal are already a massive football club, tied for biggest football club in england for my money (with scousers).

Key words being: Football Club, not Multimillion dollar cpmpany

Im talking history and massive stadium with loads of trophy cabinet, of course arsenal could consider themselves a top 6 euro side but in terms of tradition i guess they are not.

In terms of attacking football and pace at this time, then we could be considered great but we need a couple of champions leagues in the next 5-10 years

you just know when manu fans discover this thread we'll be bombarded with 10 championships in 5 years lines and the likes.

As to rivalry, i think it is now, especially with the press and their bull**** mind games theory, every manu- arsenal games regardless of when the fixtures are in d season, are considered title deciders(however dumb the notion may be),with manchester derbies united are expected to win with off chance that city could spring a suprise(hence the doom n gloom reaction we all had last season), and with d liverpool and manu games?...only the lord knows what those are about but the press keep plugging these, with both sides eager to tell how many throphies they have in their cabinet and of course the regular scouser jokes.

Top 6 european sides in terms of tradition? i honestly dont think so,manu, pool and the likes have history as a reference point as they've always been considered "big"(for a lack of a better word),i mean since all this time we're just realising we need a bigger stadium not that stadium size should be the deciding factor but these clubs are more established so to speak,if you talk about british clubs i dont think ppl would think of arsenal 1st or 2nd maybe until recently i dont know, but our reference is on how we've come along recently and the potential for the future.

Part of the rivalry is just created by the English media. If either of the managers say anything its considered part of the "mind games". I bet Wenger couldn't mention his french wine breuery (come on he's french) without some english journalist shouted foul "He is intimidating Ferguson with his evil French wine". Ferguson probably couldn't touch a sheep's ass without someone crying foul with mind games "Ferguson is showing Wenger the backdoor etc etc". I guess its all of entertainment and publicty tho its how the EPL makes money by rivalries, the more the merrier.

Help?

Lol, i won't be even bothered to answer to anything. Arsenalwill win 10 championships in 5 years:rolleyes:   hmmm, really?

All i have to say is: BLAH BLAH BLAH! Just admit that you lost the EPL and don't try to prove something that can't be proven. You know i think it's time to move on to upcoming season and hope for the best and not try to bring up the old season back.

In Paneng, Malaysia :p Seriously, the Manu-Arsenal rivalry is REALLY intense. More intense now than manu vs Liverpoo.(I spelt that wrongly on purpose). I'm not gonna blabber on about Man Utd are better and all that crap because it'll only fuel the fire that is Manu haters. I'll just sit back and let the players do the talking. If you have a legit reason why you think that your club is better then state it here. None of this juvenile "Ooooo my club RoXoRs, oh my club is the best!!!!"
