you just know when manu fans discover this thread we'll be bombarded with 10 championships in 5 years lines and the likes.
As to rivalry, i think it is now, especially with the press and their bull**** mind games theory, every manu- arsenal games regardless of when the fixtures are in d season, are considered title deciders(however dumb the notion may be),with manchester derbies united are expected to win with off chance that city could spring a suprise(hence the doom n gloom reaction we all had last season), and with d liverpool and manu games?...only the lord knows what those are about but the press keep plugging these, with both sides eager to tell how many throphies they have in their cabinet and of course the regular scouser jokes.
Top 6 european sides in terms of tradition? i honestly dont think so,manu, pool and the likes have history as a reference point as they've always been considered "big"(for a lack of a better word),i mean since all this time we're just realising we need a bigger stadium not that stadium size should be the deciding factor but these clubs are more established so to speak,if you talk about british clubs i dont think ppl would think of arsenal 1st or 2nd maybe until recently i dont know, but our reference is on how we've come along recently and the potential for the future.

there really needs to be a way to kiss ass online.
Not to argue, but I don`t think Spurs crap, their stupid manager is . . .Originally posted by Ljungberg08
Spurs are so crap it's not funny anymore. We need a real rival that can beat us....Chelsea can i know, they're the only London club that can really give us a good beating on their day. But Arsenal could rip them to shreads on their day.
Sorry, but could you make this sentence in a simpler English, cos` I don`t think I can get the meaning . . .Originally posted by tottiiii
like the majority of people on this board can think man utd can win so and so competitions cause they have that respect but it doesnt mean nothing when they are on the field against you could say a club like arsenal who like you would say doesnt have that respect
wow! That's a good one, mate.Originally posted by jigger37
I am in awe, the post was prob too long and you got lost in the middle, but then again it was the first two lines ,dude you need ur username.
And you were also saying that judging from the past thropies and stadium etc, Arsenal could be considered the top 6 EURO side. I think they won't even make the top 10.Originally posted by ogsimon
I was just saying how the rivalry is starting to get bigger between the teams, i guess there is a north vs south thing going, on and since man u are arsenals closest rival.
Location does not matter that much, real-barca is bigger that real athletico madrid or barca -espanyol

Man Utd's true rivals are Man City and Liverpool (and Leeds to an extent), not some North London club 300 miles away, desperate for some sort of historical rivalry other than Spurs.
The United - Arsenal rivalry is only about 5yrs old, and it's more about wanting to win the league rather than do one over the team. I mean, if Arsenal really just want to beat United and then losing the league isn't as important. then that's an issue for their fans. But when United play Citeh or Liverpool the league takes 2nd place to just wanting to beat your rivals. When we played Arsenal a draw at Highbury was good because it meant that it kept us in the driving seat as the form team in the race to the title.

I think that's not true Amika.
If ManU fans think beating Pool and City is the most important thing then let the team give Arsenal 4 or 6 points and see what will happen to their title.
