I hope so because I don't want to start over again, and what was wrong with the old thread I think that it was the best one here, I know that I'm a little bias

Are Reyes, van Persie, or Gilberto going to be starting this weekend?

Reyes will start since Henry is out for the match, van Persie will start on the bench and Gilberto will partner Cesc in central midfield, if Flamini is still ineligible.

Cole ready to lead by example

By Chris Harris

It's been less than five years since Ashley Cole made his Arsenal debut, but he is already one of the most senior figures in the first team. That speaks volumes for the rapid progress Cole has made for both club and country.

After excelling at Euro 2004, the 23-year-old is ready to lead by example and help nurture the Club's emerging talents as Arsenal set out to defend the Premiership title they won in such style last season.

"I've been playing regularly for three years now and I do feel like one of the senior players," said Cole. "I've been accepted as one of the senior players so I do think it's up to me to stand up and be counted.

"If I can look after younger players like Justin Hoyte then that's what I'm here for as well. I remember when I was coming through and Matty Upson always looked after me. Hopefully I can do the same."

The champions of England are always a major scalp, but Arsenal's rivals have an extra incentive to beat Arsene Wenger's team - ending their magnificent unbeaten record.

The Gunners have not tasted defeat in 40 Premiership matches and Cole is well aware that they are there to be shot at. But he insists that Arsenal will be focusing on their own credentials.

"Everyone's looking to be the first team to beat us, so we've got to be concentrated and focused on our aim," he said. "I don't think we should be thinking about anyone else.

"We've got great players here and great young players coming through, so I think we've got the squad to do it and the belief is still there that we can do it.

"All the lads are always together and fighting together. We love playing for each other and, now we've been together for a few years, we know how each other plays.

"And if someone comes into the squad, like Jose [Antonio Reyes] has, people might think that's hard for him but he loves it here. He's one of the boys already."

I think the guy is just confused. IF he stays than I hope it was because he wanted to and not because Madrid couldnt pay up.

FSW will be showing the game at 2pm here on Sunday. It's not live so if you dont wanna ruin it I suggest you dont go on the internet until the match is over.

Owen deal done as Vieira stalls,

they say he may even sign an extension, as mentioned by Eng4Worldcup, and Real will go for pool target Xabi Alonso instead.

http://skysports.planetfootball.com...=3&lid=&title=Owen+deal+done+as+Vieira+stalls

all this would look very good for vieira if he didn't go to real but signed an extension instead because it would look like he was commited all the time and never contemplated real, even though he may just be staying for the money.

Why did you guys have to say 'hmmm! we may be intrested in Carrick' :f***: You don't need him at all!

Messed up negociations for us! Thanks!

Surely Carrick would be a 'replacement' for Viera. But im sure you can buy a player who's more than 2 million lol. I just don't understand it.....

its always like that with Arsenal i guess ;). Its always, "well this young player seems to be coming up fine, we dont need Vieira anyway". I wonder, when Henry goes, will Jeffers be the one to take his throne?
