kinda feel bad for Fulham, they played very well till Arsenal scored the first goal and were kinda screwed by the ref.

Didn't deserve to lose by 3

Was the Fulham vs. Arsenal game worth watching. I haven't looked at the score because I might decide to watch it at 12 on FSW but I also have a lot of homework.

PS(please no one tell me any details about the game, just if it is worth watching?)

God, I hate the media. And Paul Halsey.

They love to go on about Cole's "penalty" which (correctly) wasn't actually a penalty because you could see that Ash did get the ball before getting tangled up with Andy. To be honest Andy fell over more because he was stretching for the ball rather than any serious contact.

And then they choose to ignore Volz's late tackle on Henry and then another on Ljungberg five seconds after the keeper had collected his shot.

Collins John's goal should have stood though, it was a bit harsh. Saw little in it - and who knows, the game could have changed very easily there. Luckily enough we took our chances when they came.

Anyway, I feel the game changed dramatically when Reyes came on, I love the guy, brilliant player. 5 in 5 (6 in 6 if you count the Community Shield) and this is playing from midfield. I think we have your new Cliff Bastin (H). Pires was a bit **** as was Vieira. Henry was hot and cold, Bergkamp the same, he wasn't as dynamic or as strong. The defensive four was solid, Cygan played pretty well as did Ralph, Kolo was quiet (I think he needs Sol alongside him still, until he can develop his decision making and leadership skills). Ash had a stormer.

And Freddie. One of our best today along with Jens, worked his socks off, scythed down every second play and yet kept coming back for more - inspirational. I seriously hope he keeps this up - recapturing his 01/02 form would make us so much stronger, we'd have an equally dangerous, dynamic threat from both flanks.

Pennant can wait.

why are we gonna release Cygan. Hes made a few mistakes but as a BACK UP defender hes a good player for us, his passing is the best of our defenders and despite his lack of pace, i think he has improved his posiitional sense.

i do agree we need another defender, but why release cygan who has been a squad member???

that would just leave us with the same number of players

It doesnt matter whether it was a penalty or not, i just show that if you bit-h enough then things go your way.
And did you see henry after volzs challenge.Gets up, sees everyones asking for a penalty and then decides to roll around on the floor clutching his hand ???

i cant agree with that, it was mainly becuase of him and gilberto's poor passing that fulham enjoyed so much time in our half by reclaiming possesion from inaccurate or underhit passes. if he could improve on his decison making of when to kick it out or try a through ball.

although i do agree that he is a good backup defender, i think that i would rather see hoyte on the bench rather that him when campbells back, otherwise we could see hoytes growth stunted.

Andy Cole's penalty claim was as valid as Lunbegs earlier (Knight taking him out a millisecond after the shot). Then Volz possibly making one of the most obvious fouls you could have taking out Henry's calf. The John goal should of stood, just like Henry's penalty should of stood.
