Why should Arsenal limit their talent pool based on nationality? Are they working for the England NT? No. It's quite stupid how a lot of the English make these xenophobic comments but yet they overpay for a SWEDISH coach as their England Manager.

Wenger has a vast array of knowledge of talent around the world. He would pick the best players that he can afford so that he can build a team to win trophies.

Arsenal play under the jurisdiction of the ENGLISH FA, and therefore to a certain degree they work for England. They are also based in England, with their home ground in England, and are known as an English club.

To have four 'home grown' players is hardly 'limiting' a talent pool when you have another 21 players in the squad.

Then why are there teams like Cardiff that are NOT based in England but yet play in the English league? Are they supposed to help England out by playing all English players?

Yes Arsenal is an English club and all but they do not work for England. All Wenger should care about is making Arsenal a championship side. It's all about skill not nationality.

And having 4 spots taken away due to nationality IS limiting a talent pool in the squad because it takes away 4 spots from players who might be more skillful but since their not English they can't play.

we'll have 4 home grown players in the squad, we could do that now if we wanted to.

But we can't keep the likes of Chilvers around...he's lucky to be coming off the bench where he is now. Look at Jeffers, too. He's made 4 or 5 games for Charlton this season.

I doubt it's gonna effect us all that much to be honest.
Only real problem I see here is that Cygan will be used in the CL IMO.

Anyways, guys, looks like Pennant has virtually left us for good. Wenger doesn't want him, and Jermain wishes to stay
with Birmingham perminantly.

We need two good replacements for every position on the
pitch. Any ideas for the next alternate right-winger?
I'd rather someone else than having Pires on the right tbh.
Or maybe we have someone ready in the reserves?

I'd go for Alex Mancini of Roma personally.
Either him or Quincy.

What do you mean stfu?

Wenger has 40 million pounds to spend in the summer. That's more than enough to get SWP and improve the midfield and defense.
