Roma might not have given us many titles, but theyve given us so much more than any team in italy can provide its fans.

thats so well said

Roma is the best team in the Serie A never have I ever been entertained by any other club in the whole world as much as I have by them

C'mon admit it Juve, Milan, Inter, Lazio are boring sh*t clubs and they are the reason everyone always says Serie A is boring, they might have all the best players but they don't play to entertain us they play to win some metal piece of sh*t and to get more gloryhunting a*sholes

When Roma plays it is magic even last season... Montella Cassano Totti the things they did you have no f*cking idea the tricks they pulled off right in front of the goal... the style of how they play it is crazy no other team can do it

Other teams may have $$ and a winning history but they'll never have the fan support of the Roman people. We are and always will be the team of the Capital, we dont have as many gloryhunting fans like Juve or Milan but we're by far the most passionate. Teams like Juve do not have a soul - after all if Juve was a mediocre team would they truly be the most supported team? Hell no - besides a winning history i dont see why else a person would be proud to support Juvemerda. Roma will always be a cut above the northern teams - a feeling, a passion, a way of life that only la maggica Roma can provide its tifosi - something that the northern teams will never be able to provide.

well said. All these idiots in London always try and take the mick for supporting another team besides Milan, Juventus and Inter. I always see people wearing those colours. That is blatent gloryhunting. I am proud to wear a Roma shirt and support a team that plays good attacking football!!!! I have to admit Inter try to play attacking football. But Roma play more dimensional and at times have played 4-2-4.....Roma in actual fact with a bit of funding and no transfer ban can win serie A. I remember when we were owning Juventus and co under Capello. I despise people that just started watching Italian football yesterday and went to buy a Milan shirt. :boohoo: I still hold Serie A as the dominant league in Europe and i look forward to the new season. Someone didnt think Serie A could pull of more than a 1-0....bullsh** whos doing more 1-0 scorelines Chelsea in england who are more defensive than Juventus and co. Serie is doing 5-4 score lines and still have the best defenses in Europe!!!!!

I love this...I remember in 2003/04 no one expected Roma to do anything. We were horrible in 2002/03 and managed a uefa cup spot by finishing in the finals of C. Italia - just like this year. Yet all we did was add a few players, had a good preseason and voila - we owned Serie A for 1/2 the year and eventually came second to a monster of a Milan team. This year Roma's back is against the wall with this FIFA ban, but we finally have a stable coach and it seems we're preparing for the season quite well. While Juve, Inter and Milan waste millions on players Roma will prove that sometimes in football money cant buy you wins (I wont go as far as to say Roma will finish 1st, but Roma will surprise the world).

Even if we have another midtable season, as long as we're not Juventus, Milan, Inter and Lazio we have so much more reason to be thankful we are Roma fans. Roma might not have given us many titles, but theyve given us so much more than any team in italy can provide its fans. There arent many teams that can boast to have a captain who's favorite team as a child is the team theyre currently on. On top of that he's the best Italian player, and without a doubt top 5 in the world.

In conclusion.. che sara, sara, dovunque ti seguirem, per sempre ti sostirrem, che sara, sara

Forza La Maggica Roma!!!!! Daje Lupi!!

(If any one takes offense to this they can kiss my @$$, this is a Roma thread, if you dont like it leave)

that was touching......well said

LOL.... :rockman: Totti Montella Cassano now thats attacking football!!!!.....De Rossi and Chivu are the future...I heard players say its not easy to leave the capital. I can imagine......i rather sit and drink (C) with old ladies discussing coronation street!....than glory hunt with juve and milan!

whats more fun seeing Totti and Cassano on a hectic mission to get goals by combining 1 touch passes or watching Juve leave all the work to Camoranesi and passing the ball across the back line????

Inter wasn't boring last year. How can the team that scores the most goals be boring? Especially in the beginning of the season when Adriano was let loose? Though I agree with you that Roma does play some of the best Italian football, when they actually play right.

actually u didn't score the most goals;)
and yea inter wasn't boring if you liked goals being scored

roma are a sweet team to watch when they are on thier game....
but i remember watching a roma match this season and i thought that thier biggest problem was amantino mancini and olivier dacourt.
but with youth like yours you can hopefully fix that in time. and tommasi is supposed to be on the way back isn't he??
i can't really think of any other things that brought down the team other than the unfortunate coach problem.

all i gotta say is let de rossi shine, he's gonna takeover that spot for the NT in no-time :rockman:

**** thats exactly the chant i herd on a Roma tifosi video! But hey watch your tongue, Milan also has gret tifosi, maybe not as passionate as you say, but we make the best tifo's no doubt. And please, lighting flares all the time doesnt really count as a tifo! But i do have to say from the games i've watched and the videos ive seen, YES you guys are loud, but Milan will always make the best tifo's!

I agree that Milan fans are loud......But so are Roma, Juve and co.....But i still think flares should be banned....because the match starts on Eurosport and you cant see anything for 10 minutes. Its not easy for players to breathe in that smoke. Dont get me wrong there nothing wrong with a bit of sound and light effect..lol...but when people start throwing them onto the pitch it becomes a problem.....

I also think fans overreact when a decision goes wrong then all hell breaks loose....fireworks and flares are thrown at players......some frightening stuff....You cant go near the sideline of corner flag without bending your head down or rushing to get away from there.

We want to see more football this season, not fireworks display like last season.

I agree, when things get out of hand thats when ultras and flares should be banned! But without them you dont got much singing going on! :boohoo:

Chelsea ponder Cassano bid
Thursday 4 August, 2005
Chelsea are ready to make a cash only offer for Roma starlet Antonio Cassano, according to reports.

It was widely believed that Cassano would be joining Juventus this summer but the Giallorossi’s transfer ban has blocked that move.

The Italian champions were willing to offer a cash plus player deal, but seeing as the capital side can’t register any new players that is no longer an option.

Chelsea though would have no problems in offering a fee and whispers suggest they are ready to make an initial bid of £10m.

The Stadio Olimpico club may be forced to accept that amount given Cassano’s current contract situation.

The player is no closer to extending his agreement at the club and will be available on a free transfer next summer.

There are also further signs of tension between the outfit and the international after he was replaced as the club’s vice-captain last month.

It’s unclear at this stage how accurate the Chelsea link is but the Premiership giants would be in a fine position to land the attacker.

Stories suggest that they are ready to offer the player a five-year contract worth over £4m a season – more than what he wants to stay in Rome.

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon will allegedly fly out to Italy after August 15 to initiate talks.

Whaddayou guys say about this, just whispers of course, but what if they did offer only 10mil.

they'll start at 10million, we'll want more, they'll offer more,it should get like this until about 22 million......then cassano will re-sign,roma will reject chelsea's bid and in 2 years time cassano will go to juve :(

(H) cool

i really would not like for him to go to chelsea. i think that roma is his place and that he should stay there until Del Piero retires ;)
and you said how he would resign with roma, but is that really still a possibility cus look how long there have been talks over him, i figure if you were gonna sign him it would have happened by now.

if i were in charge i'd sell dacourt(can't remember if he was sold already) and/or mancini to the highest bidders and give cassano the money from thier sales as incentive to sign on for 3 more years.

Well TAS will make another decision to decide whether or not to lift the ban tomorrow.

Chelsea in for Cassano...i guess just wait and see. I have not heard anything.

if Lyon want $35M for Essien, than $10M for Cassano is a complete insult. If he doesnt resign I hope Roma can suck out every penny from Chelsea.

He'd likely be competing with Gudjohnsen for the support forward role at Chelsea.
