is it just me or does it seem that almost every appeal in football these days is successful? most bans get overturned after appeals... work permits granted regularly after appeals....

Too bad Genoa werent so lucky...

Is this even really good news for Roma fans? This could signal the sales of Mancini and Cassano.

Let the speculation begin once again...

Cassano Mancini gone....I dunno whos coming since its already so close to the season.

Maybe Mozart...Im not sure...of course Chiellini Miccoli for Cassano will come up again.

Id like Chiellini...Id like Mutu instead but that wont happen.

Birindelli is a Spalletti favorite but since he got hurt a few days ago i guess thats off...

Roma firm on Cassano
by Nadia Carminati - created on 8 Aug 2005

Roma have insisted that they will keep Antonio Cassano in Rome.

Roma have been boosted by the news that their transfer embargo has been lifted for now, but that has started talk of possible departures.

Cassano's current contract at Stadio Olimpico expires next summer and he has so far refused to pen a new deal.

Rumours are now rife that Cassano will leave the Giallorossi but coach Luciano Spalletti is desperate to keep hold of the player.

"We will be doing some things in the transfer market, but Cassano won't move," said Spalletti defiantly.

Juventus have long been the main club interested in Cassano, but they look to be not so keen now after splashing out for Patrick Vieira.

General manager Luciano Moggi has played down Juve's interest in Cassano.

"Cassano isn't in our plans, and other Giallorossi players aren't. It's useless saying otherwise," he underlined.

i hope he's dead serious and really wants to keep him at most costs. and will therefore try his best to keep him.
i love antonio and i want what is best for him and i think roma is just that, for now atleast. (not even joking about him coming to juve in two years)
and i hate to see teams undeservedly screwed, so i hope he signs on again so that you guys could get some cash out of him.

For Italy's sake with WC 06 coming up, Cassano staying would be perect, he'll get first team football all season instead of going to juve to be constantly rotated, that's something for the italian juve fans on here to think about ;)

If Cassano repeats his play of last season he doesnt deserve to start for Italy.

If Cassano repeats his play of Euro 2004, and the 03/04 season when Roma wasn't in chaos, he'll be our star player
