Nope. They have no chance. They are 3 points behind us, one match left. We have beat them twice this year and they have no chance now.

In Spain they have .. i'm not sure with the word, could it be mutual liquidation?

I was afraid the lost would be bigger. But we did it better. I'm so proud of the boys, amazing atmosphere at Vicente tonight.

With the amount of money you spent you should be challenging for the title considering the mediocrity of La Liga this year. Still, congrats. Always nice to see a former giant bouncing back. Hopefully you guys will fight for silverware next season.

We can take the bronze this year. If Murcia take at least one point against Barcelona - and we beat Valencia. Or Murcia can beat Barca and we take one point from Valencia. Same sh!t.

Its funny people call La Liga mediocre cause why? cause Barca didnt win it? the league wasnt mediocre teams were...ie. Valencia, Zaragoza, Barcelona...even Sevilla...but while in most major leagues any team ouside of the big three or four are dead before the season even starts in Spain every single team can beat you on a given week there is a lot of parity and it makes La liga competitive and exciting

Typical Atletico luck this year. Depor wasted numerous chances, hit the post once, and should have had a penalty called in their favor. Time for Atletico to celebrate as if they hadn't spent 83 million in the offseason.

This actually crossed my mind before the final EPL games of the season. Last season we had madrid and barca play down to the very single minute of the game before a Champion was decided. In the EPL, I was very confident that ManU were going to win it, long before kick of, Only because.......... It was wigan.

Of course, the relegation battle is a whole other story.

You're not in the CL yet buddy, you still have to play a round of qualifying and it will probably be against a tough opponent since I doubt Atletico will be seeded.

Nancy have one point to Marseille with one match left, and Twente won 2-1 against Ajax in the first play-off match.

Competitiveness doesnt take away from the fact that it was a below par season for La Liga. It was. Real Madrid won the competition playing pretty average football at times and still finished miles ahead of their chasers. Barcelona had a crap season, Valencia almost got relegated and Atlético despite all the money spent couldnt give Madrid a run for their money. To prove you wrong aswell, Fiorentina are going to finish ahead of Milan and they're not a big four team.

Not to mention that Roma, one of the most inconsistent sides amongst the big clubs, pushed Inter down to the wire at Serie A and humbled Madrid a few months ago.

Agree, look at the difference in the table between the EPL and La Liga. In England 40 pts means your safe while in La liga it would have been relegation. I think something like the 12 placed team and down in the EPL would be going down with the point total they have if they were in the Spanish table and there is still one more round left to play.

As for Atletico, they will as always fail. Thats all there good for, is failure so it wont be a suprise to see them not even qualify.

Who gives a **** about Valenica they suck and Villarreal have stepped it up big time this year as has Racing and some other teams. Roma won over 2 legs, I dont see how that says a league is weak? England has the big 4 and thats it, while in Spain its not alwasy the same uptop. Look at Zaragoza compared from last season to this season.

I can't understand why people think there are negative that we don't have a top 4 all the time. EPL is boring, since it is always the same teams EVERY YEAR.
