German FA has developed, and will continue to develop excellent managers. Look at some of the success recently of clubs like RB Leipzig, Mainz, Hertha. That's not because of players, or the league being weak.

I agree that the players aren't weak and are also underrated As I've said, there are good coaches but some well resourced clubs could do with a big name with a rep and experience of the highest level maximize their potential. Basically, what Pep brought to the club and league at a lower profile but more widespread. Look at the squads of Schalke, Bayer,Wolfsburg and even HSV along with their resources. Despite Bayern and BvB current standing and difference from the rest, they have the potential to be competitive/productive.

PL top teams have the best now in managers. Serie A have Montella, Allegri,Sousa,Spalletti and Sarri etc. Bundesliga has great coaching/trainers and player development similar to Spain I agree but lack management at some resourced clubs with highest level experience and power of personality.

That Pep thing, I said that before he even started coaching Bayern and also said he'd help in bringing German NT to the next level for his tactical ideas and they won the WC.

I think Italians have the most number of top managers around all things considered but their player production level is still behind the likes of Spain, Belgium, France,Portugal and Germany. And as I said, I believe the best of the best of each major nation are all in the PL.

Thats 3/4 top managers, i'm talking about global scale... Coaches in youth teams both in Germany and Spain are excellent.

You're fucking spot on mate. There have even been articles about this thing, with the EPL being mostly considered as the "best" league in superiority and audience wise because mostly of the managers, some players, media coverage etc... While in truth I'd rather watch Villarreal against Celta Vigo instead of Southampton versus Everton purely because of the quality of football being played.

Yep and for the record, I think La Liga is the best atm because of the players, developing players and how football is played.

Pep lost 12 points in his forst season at Bayern. Ancelotti is already at 9 points lost. Horrible game. Btw, I love Tuchel's new formation. Going very well.

I just never understood that. We've seen awful seasons recently from even Barcelona with Tito who chose cancer over the club. Klinsmann and van Gaal were dangerously close to not even qualifying Bayern for the CL before being sacked. I don't care who you are or what talent you have, it's never easy.

I read the Cruyff autobiography last week and one thing he says is that just about every player who plays top flight professional football is a very good player. He's right. The great players are only great on the margins. They have better technique, or work rate, or just insane determination and never give up (I'm thinking like Tevez used to play).

Muller was effective last night at least ... Robben was on fire ... Lewy technique and accuracy for that free kick was simply priceless ... oh and that Lahm tackle for equalizer ... people talk about Ronaldo, Messi and other dribbler/goal scorers all day ... but Lahm produced top level football since 2006 ... not sure why he doesn't get enough credit for that.

Arnau, have you read the Cruyff Autobiography?

I just got it in the mail, and have a pre-order in for the new Marti Perarnau Pep book.

Have you read them? Is Pep Evolution better than Pep Confidential?
