I know I may be a homer on this but it is Alan Shearer. I beleive he leads the EPL in goals. He may not be fancy and he is not the fastest but he puts the ball in the back of the net and that is what counts.

Pennington makes a good point and I agree he should be on the list. He is a quiet achiever. Ruud gets most goals served to him on a silver platter and hes just the chery that goes on top. Ronaldo is amazing undoubtly one of the best But Id say Henry is the best because of his amazing footwork, speed and shooting accuracy. Freekicks corners heading anything he is up there for the best at all of these. Id say best in the world Shearer, Ronaldo, Henry and at times Raul.

Being a regular EPL watcher, I've seen Ruud pull out some great goals out of nothing... sometimes the delivery is weak, so Ruud uses his strenght and his ball control to create chances for himself... or for the others... he's class
But well, Henry is the best striker right now. He's a complete player. He can even afford to perform some great tackles (remember that he used to play as a midfielder)...

has van nistelrooy ever split a defence with his pace and control? and how many goals has he set up? - selfish pig - same for national team

makaay stands out because of all round skill more than anyone else - that's why he gets my vote!!! i was first to vote for him - which is sad that everyone else just goes for england, italy and spanish leagues
DROGBA also deserves a mention - he's not only effective in the much underrated french league - but can destroy even the most organised top european defences in champions league

Although I must say that considering an all round game Henry in a touch above the rest .....

Alessandro Del Piero and Roy Makaay definitely are the best.
Both have great skills and ball controls...i jst love players who can score a 1 touch volley from long ranges and they have scored quite a number of them.

he would be up there near top - but not best
definitely in the top 15 in world, but many well ahead of him (also he's near the end of career, so in FIFA i would not want him playing for me in 2008)
