Makes me smile seeing that stadium being built. Who knows when they sign to the MLS I will be taking the boat to the stadium and watching a couple games.

Here is another update of the stadium, they are now going to start clearing out everything in the middle and start installing the field, hopefully it will be done in a month or so.

the lights are all up and the field is being installed, the machine used to install it broke so they are hoping to have it done by thanksgiving. Here are some pictures and videos of the stadium.

That looks great. What is going to be the capacity upon completion? That looks like more than 15,000 to me. Is it only going to be expanded to 20,000 if Rochester got into MLS?

right now its around 13,000, expandable to 17,500 and if later needed up to 20,000. Right now we are still waiting for the State governement to give us money for Phase II of the project.

Why does the field have lines on it if it's only half installed? Please tell me it's not fake grass. Even then, I thought they'd paint it after it was all down.

It is FieldTurf™being installed, once completed it will be FIFA approved so it will be a nice field. Natural grass just wouldn't hold up with the weather we have here.

for now, thats it, but as long as we get the extra funding there will be more added as I said a couple posts above.

Most of the work is now done, tomorrow they will finish putting the mixture that goes inot the grass, and they will be working on some small varios projects untill the snow begins. Here are some pictures, they look amazing with it being dark outside with the lighting.
