Haha probably 90% of all the programs I use wouldnt work on XP-64. Contrary to the bad press I got earlier.....I've had no problems running XP 32-bit. My X2 3800+ seems to be perfectly at ease with it :D.

So this is my (almost) final working setup

Sony 16X Dual-layer DVD burner
Floppy drive

Gonna be getting rid of 1 of the 40GB hard-drives & putting in a 200GB :). This being my 1st time I expected hell, but everything went suprisingly well. Just had a small problem in getting dual-channel working(put the sticks into th wrong slots :p ). I had my friend to help me out & together we sorted everything out. Havent really put it to the test but I did run Need for Speed Most Wanted at full settngs.....& the results were awesome. Gonna try F.E.A.R next :p. Will post pics of my rig during the weekend.

awesome spec you have joe. i think you should have no problem running FEAR with medium setting, not sure about the highest setting thou

Yeah.....btw only thing I regret is not getting the 7600GT. It just arrived here a few days before I went to do my final shopping, so I hadnt really gotten any heads up about it apart from ngyc's tip the other day. 1 of the shops recommended it to me because it was almost the same price as the 6800GS & I wanted to do some last minute checking up but the stupid cyber cafe's Internet connection was down. Oh well cant be helped I suppose. But when you think about it.......both cards would probably go out of date at around the same time.

yeah. by the time vista out next january, i'm sure nvidia and ati will come out a dx10 supported card. instead of rushing yourself to get a high end card and then throw it away because its not support dx10, i reckon we should just wait and see what nvidia or ati can come out with

erm the furthest behind he was in the screenshot was 3/4.

Anyway it seems you awe pc that can play videos ever since your gfx card screwed up.
I think I could take a screenshot of my other PC with a nvidia riva tnt 16mb. (H)

Just joking. No hard feelings. :)

yeah but see the map....he aint leading the pack is he. And ya i do awe pcs that play vids man... its been 3 fcukin months....3 MONTHS when i watched a vid, and nothings wrong with the gfx card as i checked on my frens pc and it plays everythin.

I have given up......will throw my pc when m done with.

lol, don't throw it. Make use of what's left. And it's always good to have a working pc around in case your main pc in the future acts up. Atleast you can use your other pc to troubleshoot the problem and find some solution on the net.

should be X700 Pro or XT.....not sure thats wat comes in my mind. Planning on an upgrade mate?

And Y2K, m not gonna throw the pc yet....it still is my life atm and i do plan to use it as a secondary but m afraid it wont last another year :(

And try not to watch any vids for 3 days....then u ll know my state of mind after 3 months. Really pissed off....cant get over it.
