I couldn't watch the game this morning, due to work. Yes, Odonkor is German, and I think he's better than Asamoah, too. He just lacks finishing, and his ball control could use a little refining, in my opinion. Why are you shaking your head about Owomoyela?

Couse he sux and he is totally out of form. I saw a couple of relatively easy ball controlls he missed. He complicates his life for nothing. I was woundering why Werder is such a great offensive team and how come their defense is so crappy? Well Owo is one of the reasons, he lacks lecurity and is very slow in one on one situations.

Brilliant ******* match against Hamburg. We won 4-2 goals by Rosicky(2), Kringe, and Smolarek. Lauth and Ailton for HSV.

The goals by Rosicky and Kringe were incredible. Rosicky's was like a 20 meter cannon, and Kringe's was like a 25 meter cannon. Perhaps the goal of the season. Tomas stay!!!!!

Oh and BVB is interested in Valdez from Bremen and Jarosik from Chelsea (loaned to birmingham) Hopefully a deal can be struck with Chelsea and it looks like Birmingham could get relegated.

Bild is reporting Valdez to BVB for 3.5 million and 2.5 million a year salary for 3 years.

Havent seen much of him, but I hear he is a very good player. Hopefully its true.

I think the addition of Haedo Valdez to BVB will be great. He will develop into a great player for sure;the only reason he doesnt get a lot of playing time in Bremen is because they have two excellent strikers in Klasnic and Klose

Exactly.

Valdez is a quality player. The guy scores everytime he comes off the bench for Bremen. I would love to have him. Also, rumor has it Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Mr. Flop (Delron Buckley).

Well I think he hasn't scored any goal yet. And his most played position should be the prestigious position of the benchwarmer.

Buckley has been disappointing this season. He still has not scored a goal. His form was absolutely horrible for the first 3 months... but after the winter break he has started playing much better. I feel that he only needs one goal to get going... We play a 4-3-3 where he plays left forward. We only paid 425,000 for him, so we wont lose anything if we decide to sell him at the end of the season.

I think all the Frei rumours will stop once Valdez decides to come, if he does.

Bremen wants to trade Valdez for Metzelder who has one more year left on his contract and is refusing to sign a new one.

Dede has extended until 2011.

That's not a very fair trade. Metzelder is probably worth 3 Valdez's. The obvious thing to do would be to sell Metzelder this summer and use a portion of that money on a striker/foward.

COLOGNE SEAL DOUBLE DEAL

Relegated Bundesliga side FC Cologne have added Borussia Dortmund striker Salvatore Gambino and Werder Bremen defender Pekka Lagerblom to their ranks.

"Gambino will be a great addition to our attack. He has a very positive personality and loves playing the game."

It's sad to see such a talented and promising player go, but he needs more playing time. He's been a great servant for us depite his frequent injury bouts. I for one will miss him. And his blantant dive that got Ballack sent off a couple years ago will always remain etched in my memory. Good luck, 'Bino.

DORTMUND IN FAIR PLAY DRAW

Borussia Dortmund could still play in next season's Uefa Cup after topping Die Bundesliga's fair play ranking.

The Schwarz-Gelben will join 10 other European teams in the hat when Uefa draw the two remaining Uefa Cup berths in Oporto on June 4.

Last season saw Bundesliga outfit Mainz reach the European competition via the draw.

After beating both FC Mika Ashtarak and IB Keflavik in the qualifying rounds, they were knocked out by the eventual competition winners Sevilla in the first round.
