Hey guys, I played bball in Barcelos and bcs of it I got this affinity for GV, but this is way beyond anything remotely acceptable. Clubs should refuse to play in the same league as Gil Vicente, pure and simple.

GV never gave anything substancial to our football (or to sport in general for that matter), so to have this little club jeopardize everything we love and other clubs fought so hard for is unacceptable.
Just ban them permanently.

you're right, nobody can really blame you for being glad about some good fortune. Personally speaking, I know I'd be happy if Benfica got the benefit of a decision like this.. I think we're just frustrated and angry about the current situation.

FIFA's tyranny isn't helping either, threatening to ban the national team and every other club because of the actions of 1 or 2 teams. It's a grave miscarriage of justice if it goes through, and hopefully it doesn't also happen to other people's countries/clubs in the near future.

ok so after listening to what that Marcelo dude had to say, basically, both Liga and FPF should invoke public interest like Thursday or Friday in order to allow this weekend's games to proceed normaly (Belenenses playing their match) and stop Gil Vicente from appealing to the civil court in time to prevent that from happening.
then, even if the civil courts support Gil Vicente's appeal, it will be too late as the Belenenses participation in the League will already be a fact.

given that, it will be like everything is normalized and FIFA's decision to postpone the suspension until the 14th may be considered as a proof that they're bluffing, seeing that they are giving us enough time to solve the situation and allow our teams' participation in European competitions.
