Sensation is out of my price range, and I'm not sure SGSII has made it to the states (and it will be out of my price range anyway). Might be able to afford HTC Evo.

Three SGSII models were just announced for the states (States always gets variations from the rest of the world).

Desire Z had keyboard doesn't it? It's decent but last gen.

There will be an sgsii in the USA with physical keyboard. Honestly, after going to such a thin light phone, I could never go back to a big fat physical keyboard. It makes phones roughly twice as thick. A few mm might not sound much, but in the pocket you notice it. And the weight of the sgsii is awesome too.

The Dezire Z is last gen, but it's the best last gen mode released so far. Check the Desize Z / Vision portion of XDA forums; it's the most modified phone, even more than its' keyboard-ess counterpart - the Glacier.

Yeah, it's a good phone. If you want a physical keyboard, and can't afford the best of this generation, than it's probably the best choice.

I'd rather a Nexus S or original Galaxy S though.

That's only a concept phone. Not a real, soon to be released model.

Make America Great Again
Of course just saw a Galaxy SII for Sprint commercial while watching NFL today. I'm thinking Tuesday the 20th is New Phone Day for me, SGSII gets released on the 16th, so if the price is good (I see $199, but I think I also get a loyalty bonus and an internet discount) I might go for it. And if it's $100 I might just spend that too; that isn't so much.

If you have a crappy phone and next gen phone will do. Once you have it, though, you can't go back. It becomes a necessity more than a luxury after a while.

Yeah, but odds are I'm going to have this new phone for 3 years minimum.

In that case go in at the top.
