Funny that you only notice that kind of attitude in United fans when virtually 100% Barca fans have this kind of attitude ALL the time.
Not quite what I meant. I would even say that Barcelona fans are more *confident* of winning their matches, but ManU fans (and English fans in generaL) tend to dismiss foreign teams. I don't think many are dismissing Barcelona this time (except "unitedwinner"), but they certainly did two years ago.

Can't really remember that United fans/English media were dismissing Barca TBH. Back then we had Ronaldo and Tevez, so things were probably different and United fans were probably more confident. I thought Barca were clear favourites 2 years back... Same for this year. Still have hope though.

And I wouldn't take seriously what Unitedwinner wrote. Did you see his other posts?

What a joke. I don't hate United. My only criticisms have been towards United-centric and EPL-centric fans like you (which you've demonstrated again by thinking I'm a hardline united hater). I have rarely, if ever, criticized the team, and I certainly haven't gloated after any of their losses. Does that sound like a "hardline united hater" to you?

I guess the match really depends on what kind of approach United will take this time around.

They actually did well in the early stages in 09'. I think the definite key is to stop Barca scoring first since they're probably the best team in keeping the ball/possession. And they usually do that comfortably once they're in front.

Having said that, Fergie's probably learned his lessons though from their previous meeting and should have the points above cross-checked.

Fergie will probably look to frustrate Barca, Xavi and Iniesta has to be shut down at all costs, just limit their threat and make sure they aren't able to feed Messi/Villa. The problem is, apart from Fletcher I honestly don't see anyone else in the Utd midfield capable of doing that.

Rooney does operate a bit too deep at times, and that could suit Barca the longer the game goes. United probably have to make the most of the set-pieces they've got because that's probably where Barca's genuine weaknesses are. All in all, I'm hoping for decent game of football.

Not really bothered by who wins it in the end. Just watching for the football.

Not qualms about the Wembley pitch during the City-Stoke game, so it should be good this time around.

Oh and tits.
Rooney plays behind the main striker. Could handle Busquets from linking up the whole thing. If he succeeds in that there will be more gaps to capitalize on. If they don't let him have his game Barca's defense would go a bit deeper . Then Hernandez could unsettle their defense with his movement of course.

Another point would be handling Iniesta off the ball. His movement is vital. If that can be done Xavi will need to workout a lot of stuff on his own.

Barca look tired like anything and misfiring a lot specially Messi. The defense needs to be spot on when he is running in the same direction by positioning properly to not losing their balance. Remembering how Koscienly handled him at the Emirates was remarkable. He is can be handled by speedy considerably short defenders. Does Man Utd have any?

Man Utd need to be lucky in refereeing decisions and Barca needs to be unlucky:P

In what way couldit suit Barca?

With such a strong Barca midfield I think we need him to track back unless we play 4-5-1. We'll most probably play 4-4-2 with Rooney in the SS/AM role. I think we should play the same formation as our game against Chelsea.

Chicharito

Park - Rooney - Valencia
Giggs - Carrick

Evra - Ferdinand - Vidic - O'Shea
VDS

O'Shea instead of Fabio/Rafael simply because of his experience and height. Nani on the bench simply because his form has been aweful lately.
