He's already coach Madrid once and won us the CL, so I think he would like to go to a familiar territory.

Sir C, I would give him a chance at Madrid, but after what he went thru at Chelsea with the fans and the Media, I can only imagine what would happen at Madrid if he went on a slump. Now he may be able to take orders from Perez, but Perez won't be able to take it from the fans and Media.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think if the Mourinho deal doesnt work out we should give Rafa another year. Maybe I just enjoy the genuine absolute hatred between him and Sir Alex.

Yeah I agree, has has been absolutelly brilliant for Chelsea this season. He's been a lot better than Hazard for example.

Yeah, I thought Mata earned that, but whatever.

There's talk of (as has been stated here before) De Bruyne on loan plus cash for Lewandowski which would be a dream come true. Not a permanent move though. De Bruyne had a goal and near assist (made a great, first-time pass which set Hunt one-on-one but Hunt got tripped and scored the penalty) this weekend and he really has a lot of class and could be a starter for us (he'd be a regular for us already, I feel). I'd like to see him given another season as a starter at a great club and then being brought back, like Lukaku, but they can both feature frequently now.

Still talks of Schurrle (note that if Schurrle comes in the way of KDB's development I'd rather he stay at Leverkusen), but I think both can have a room at the squad (Schurrle as a Moses-type wide, direct player who can also fill at ST if it's absolutely necessary, and KDB as a more technical winger or, even better, as an attacking midfielder in a 4-3-3 (could also function as a No. 10 but with Oscar, Hazard, Mata it seems kind of redundant, especially when he's played excellently in deeper and wider roles.

I'm looking forward to next season if we can make the right moves. Mou is the most important. I have full confidence that he could turn some players (Mikel, David Luiz, Oscar, KDB, Hazard, Courtois, for instance) into much better players than they are now. The last 5 especially could become world-class with him. Adding Schurrle, Lewandowski, a young LB and a DLP would make me fairly optimistic with ambitions for a league title and even a CL semis appearance (feeling relatively confident that Rafa will manage that for us, all he needs is a win on Wednseday or two wins from Villa and Wigan).

I want Fellaini, but as a back-up, or maybe a starter, but not as the solution to our DLP issues. I think we need another winger who offers something different for depth because the Mazacar are relatively similar and need a break (did you know Oscar is one course to playing 92 matches this season and hasn't had a break since 2010? Fuck, and I was complaining he wasn't wowing us anymore). KDB might be the answer to that, but I think a more direct, wider option (Blaszczykowsky would be great, I think) would work better. If it's one or the other, I'm not sure which I'd prefer. I mean, since Fellaini won't be the solution, we'd basically have Lampard, Ramires, Mikel, Romeu, Essien and Fellaini and none of them actually fulfill the role we need. He might also come in the way of getting someone else (which I wouldn't mind if the club thought Romeu, Oscar, KDB or McEachran could step up by 2014), but he'd probably become a starter right away. Schurrle wouldn't, but he might be more useful in the long-run. Not sure.

I wouldn't say no to both though.

Me neither, depends how much we are going to be spending.

My number one wish for that midfield plug is still Modric and I still think Madrid will want rid of him (if only to wash the Jose smell out of the club) and even though he prefers United, he might be tempted to follow Mourinho. I would say 35m for Modric would be a better investment than 40m for Fellaini and Schurrle.

Modrić would be so amazing for you guys, although I'd love to see him in Utd. He's what? 26 or 27?

Modric for relatively cheaply would be good. I would prefer Gundogan but off the top of my head he's probably my 2nd option.

Havent seen enough Gundogan though he appeals to me because of his age.

Interest in Moutinho seems to have really died down, wonder if he could be got cheaper? I will be pissed if I find Tottenham sneak him in for like 18m now interest has died down....

Gündogan i for Utd! But knowing Ferguson he calls him typical german and says our midfield is complete.
