I really give credit to Lampard to play really well despite his personal issues. I wish he can overcome all of those issues.

Considering Cole's suspension, I assume Guus was trying out Mancienne today for the Barca game, can anyone comment on his performance?

And brilliant for Cech to get a penalty save, just the sort of confidence boost he was needing. Hope it does wonders for him.

Shame about this Lampard debacle, from what I've learned about him from interviews he doesn't deserve this sort of thing. Top guy in my book.

I just watched second half and Mancienne played ok. He does some unneccessary fouls, he's very immature in defending. I think Essian will play there against Barca, you expect Guus to play Mancienne against Messi and Alves?

Mancienne played RB, Bosingwa LB. Guus has come out and said that Bos will get the LB berth. Today Mancienne had a decent game, played the full match. He had some nice run into the opposition but did give away the ball several times. Bosingwa was subbed after 60' and Cole obviously did much better, even hitting the crossbar. I think were gonna play Bosingwa-Terry-Alex-Ivanovic. Leaving with a draw is what I'm hoping for. I'd be estatic for a win at Nou Camp. Cole'll be back for the 2nd leg. I cant wait for Tuesday.

I bet Liverpool were thinking that too. I wouldn't underestimate Chelsea either especially after all there troubles they had with couches etc. There a credit to themselves to have such a huge issue in coach but fight and come back from it.

Just think how well the team would be gelling if they had the same coach pre-season. There on top form at the moment despite there injury problems.

An interesting fact for you. In recent years Messi has gone up against 8 english teams but is yet to score one goal. I think that shows the physicality your about to endure. There again Barca are in the best form I think I've ever seen them this season. Will be a tough game both ways, 50/50 chance.

On another note, I've been having trouble with couches as well. With me cat running around messing up things.

Anyways, I'm not one to speak before the match, I hate to give predictions unless it involves other teams(because you will be biased if its yer team )
But let's hope this will be one match to savour, for both sets of fans and neutrals.
Ash Cole is a definite big miss in this one, hopefully Mancienne or whoever marks him and Iniesta, as well as Xavi will be able to do a decent job of it.

I'm quietly confident though. We'll probably have to let one in before we wake up and perform of course, but when they do turn it on it's lovely stuff. We will miss Ash. I haven't seen Boss play left back. He should be ok with it though (I hope )

Drog's on fire, and he does enjoy playing Barca. Oh yes he does. Man, I'm excited and nervous about this one. More because it's another semi really, than because of the opposition we have this time. It's gonna be a hell of a game I think.

I'd rather see Essien at LB tomorrow. Bosingwa is much more of an offensive-minded full-back, which is fine at the Bridge, but at Nou I\d rather have someone who will contribute from deep and keep Messi under control.
