You are right about Mata, desperately needs a rest but starting without him would be suicide. The only way I can think of to play without him is if we can come up with a different formation.

Blown it again. Even with every single refereeing decision going our way this weekend, we still cant take six points from two games which any other season would have been a formality. Really is disgusting.

Alan Pardew has really surprised me this season. Great signings he's made. He's also gotten the best out of Ben Arfa recently.

As for us, you look like at the likes of Fulham who've got players like Frei and Dembele and on our side we've got Kalou and Meireles(who for the life of me I can't figure out what type of midfielder is he). I know hindsight is 20/20 but why the heck did AVB not clear out most of the squad during the summer. Di Matteo has done a good job picking up his mess but we can't continue to rely on luck and decisions going our way.

Since the away leg in Benfica we haven't really been playing well but we got the results. The more time Kalou gets on the pitch, the worse he gets sadly.
