As I said elsewhere, Hodgson had him all ready to come last January before he got the boot...
I think 3rd place is pretty much settled, for now we really need to pull something out of the hat to get that final CL spot, because the way we've been playing, we belong below the likes of Everton.
That being said, I think it's fairly obvious that our run of good luck is about to dry up so Robbie's going to have to make some major changes to the first eleven. Personally, I would put out a 2nd string team against Spurs just to shove it to the FA for not allowing more breathing space between the two Barca games.
Barca themselves managed to get an extra day off to prepare for our tie. It's probably our best bet for silverware this season(FA Cup) but I'd prefer to have a better chance beating Barca.
Ivanovic likely to miss 3 games as he's been charged for violent conduct, strangely enough nothing against Maloney for instigating the whole incident. Add that the likes of Balottelli getting away scot-free and the decision not to rescind Derry's red(against Utd), the FA must be high as kite. So don't bet against Iva getting the frivolous appeal handed against him, and miss the Newcastle game as well.

Second goal was a joke, but still really enjoyable win. After Tottenham being such a thorn in our side this season it was so satisfying to thump 5 (4) past them.
Liverpool are a team we struggle against but I still have high hopes that we'll finish this season with at least one trophy.
I just hope Luiz is OK, or that at least Cahill isnt injured, if Bosingwa plays against Barcelona we are sunk, they will tear him to shreds.

Drogs MOTM, ripped Gallas to shreds today. Mata close behind with an awesome 2nd half performance, was at the heart of every attack, got himself two assists in the process.
Felt bad for Cudicini, especially when the Lamps goal went in. But that's life.
2nd goal should not have counted, now the media's got an excuse to play around with and disregard how the likes of Mikel shackled Parker, Cole's performance against Lennon and Drogba's toying around with King and Gallas.
Watched the highlights of the game on ITV, they've skipped Drogba's goal and played the ghost goal over and over along with our other goals.
I thought we would've won anyway at 1-0. Spurs' defence couldn't cope with Drogba. If anything I thought the way the 2nd goal came, it gave Spurs a lift and they did respond. But they still lost 5-1 mind you. You can't say we didn't deserve it.

Maybe the ball did cross the line, the TV replays made it adamant that it didn't. I found it rather strange that they kept showing it from the angle behind goal. Oh well, carry on.

I agree with you about the coverage though - it was all they talked about in the post match interviews and all they showed in the highlights - there was a lot more to the game than that!

Not surprising really considering three of their starting eleven were Chelsea rejects 
I would still like Parker and Cudicini in our team though. Better than Hilario/Turnbull and Essien(in his current state).
Gallas, never. We saw some glimpses of his attitude when Malouda nicked the ball away from him at the end. Was throwing a tantrum at the referee and gave up chasing. He was great while he was here, but sort of glad we didn't have to deal with him later on.

I really liked Gallas but we let him go at just the right time, him + 5m for Ashley was one of the biggest steals in the history of football.
