I can empathise with your worries Balla.
I really am not overimpressed with Del Horno.He is not as good as Wayne Bridge and i think Jose is aware of that.
JT is sharing the back line with,Johnson and Del Horno.Now JT is a worried and overworked man.He does not trust them at all,with good reason i might add.Huth?....another one thats just not good enough.We also miss the power of The Drog.I actually did not think we would miss him so much but i think we do miss him.
But what makes me laugh is the fact that we have drawn 3 games on the trot right?....The media insist that we are in the middle of a blip and people, in their desperation ,are listening to that.BUT.....When Arsenal drew 3 games on the trot,that was not seen as a blip.That was viewed as 3 more games unbeaten,bvecause that is what it is....3 more games unbeaten and i'll settle for that for now.
We really must clear out some of these sub-standard players though if we are to continue progressing positively.They hold us back and certainly make me feel uncomfortable.
We should make the title with points to spare but the summer has to see some better players brought in, in place of those players just not performing well enough for the heights we are aiming for.
I aint worried about Barca at all.We will be s.h.it hot for Barca you can be confident about that.Jose has been preparing for those games for a while,hence the choice of using certain players sparingly lately,and the use of lesser talented players.He must feel he can afford to gamble a little in the league considering the points lead we have.

We havent won at Villa Park in 7 years so meh.

This just proves however I am right once again about Drogba and how vital and important he is too our system and that he infact does get the job done.

I have a formula though, I know when we will drop points whenever Huth plays.

I definately agree on most of the points you two hit on. Namely that Johno isnt good enough to be starting as our rb at all, and that Bridge is better than Del Horno. We are missing Drogba, and that much is for certain. As much crap as people gave him when he couldnt finish off some inconsequential sitter or whatever, he was a big, annoying presence up front that knocked around bodies and cleared the path for the wingers to do their work. I like hernan, but I think its obvious to most anyone that he is best with a partner

I have no idea why Bridgey was sent off. I know he wanted out to help his prospects, but Jose shouldve been giving him time, instead of displacing Billy Gallas or playing Del Horno when his form and attitude were not up for it. Wayne looked god awful in some of his return matches, but the solution wasnt just cutting him out of the squad. More patience shouldnt have been shown, and if it comes back to bite us in the ass, as selling Baba did last year, I wont be half surprised.

As for Johno, my patience is wearing thin. This was supposedly the inheriter of the RB spot for England when we bought him, a young and rising international. He has gotten the games and done almost nothing with them. I was calling for him to be loaned out in the summer, but apparrently he is more vital to our squad than Bridgey

We need to go back to Paulo-JT-Gallas-Del for a few games and get some kind of defensive solidarity going again. I hate to sound like a complainer, but I believe that the early season form we had, when we didnt concede a goal till week 8, is a more accurate representation that leaks goals and can barely score against the likes of Everton, Charlton and Villa.

I hope were up for the game against the scousers, too. I know we have a massive lead as is, but giving them another hiding is just too sweet an opportunity to miss, and it will serve as a good springboard into the CL tie

That was an emphatic victory today.Total domination in defence ,midfield and attack.I cant help gloating over this one .Mainly as a reaction to all the bulls.h.it bravado and put downs that came our way from Anfield lately.

You were not taking it over the line at all pete, and everyone jumped on you. But seriously, can you help gloating over beating a team that are always talking about how were boring, how were scared of them, etc etc?

nothing could top the 4-1 victory at Anfield, but this one came close in terms of satisfaction. Despite all that, though, you know that all the talk tomorrow is going to be about the Robben-Reina incident (its already confirmed that all but one paper will be running it on their backpage)

Anyway, the most important thing was getting a step closer to that title. If we get 8 more wins, its ours, no questions asked. Jose already has his eyes squarely on that prize. Thankfully it gives us alot of room to play with rosters for the CL, should we get past Barca.

Well he has the odd great game, but he seems like he is lacking defensively. I still think some consistant first team action that he will get with a loan move would do him alot of good. By the way, Rob, your new sig is magnificent, but you probably already knew that

I felt alot of love for Billy today: heard he was our best defender and bagged one too. You could see the joy on his face when he scored that this guy is CFC through and through, and Kenyon has got to get him resigned at any cost. He is one of the worlds best defenders, and his versatility is unmatched. On top of that he has the speed and strength to dominate at the top level for years to come. To sum it up hes indispensible, and we will be hurting if we dont get him inked for another couple of years.

Continuing the wankfest, Hernan Crespo was pure class today. Played Warnock like a fiddle when he worked the offsides trap, took his first goal brilliantly off that volley, and shouldve had a second, just as lovely one with that perfect chip had it not been for a horrible call. If we can give him a taste of silverware this season, im thinking there is a slight chance he might extend with us and stay in London...despite all his posturing for Italy. Bottom line is that for someone 30+ he is still as worldclass as they come, and frankly id rather have him back than look to replace him

Cheers Balla......have you noticed that whenever Liverpool get beaten,they tend to deflect from the defeat by focusing on something "out of order" that the other team did?Gary Neville and his celebration for one instance.Robben Yesterday is another.
We all know that Robbens reaction was over the top and was not a nice thing to see but,surely the public were entitled to a more concise opinion about the game from Benitez rather than whinge about Arjen.Its no surprise at all that the media had a field day with it as well.Ah well its all water off a ducks back to us i guess.Shame to see that as a club,Liverpool are such sore losers.Not all the fans of course but the club in general.Make an issue over Robben and nobody will ask what the f.u.ck went wrong with the team.Thats the Liverpool tactic by the look of it.Even the sports radio stations here have dragged all the ex Liverpool players out of the old folks homes to let them tell us how disgraceful Robben is.Funny though....not one comment about how crap Liverpool were against us.Bad losers.

That little kid in the tunnel.......priceless....even Gerrard thought it was funny.Sign him up now for the academy.Thats a future Chelsea captain right there.......... :)

The article called Adu the most exciting teenage prodigy on the planet. Frankly, at his age I think the prospect of getting Obi Mikel excites me alot more (thats besides him being a headcase). It would be for marketing purposes, so lets not waste his time and talent and our money. Let him go to the mancs and let Arnesen bring home the beef in terms of real young potential talent.


As far as the comparison Rob posted, it enumerated exactly how I feel. Gerrard could be better than our Frankie, but he isnt, and week in week out that is proven. On top of that, you would have to be crazy to pick a guy who plays entirely too far within himself over a talent that plays above his own ability regularly, and has turned himself from a potential bust into England's finest by determination and hard work.

I have every confidence that if Gerrard played for Jose Mourinho, he would be at 100% every week, and might surpass Frank by way of his natural talents. Thankfully, for us that is, we will never get to see that happen.

We have to set for how long you will have to keep the customized signature. Two weeks, one month,.. Also the size, I think 300x100 was the limit. Or we could bet the avatar or one of those bars that people put under the signature. Whatever it is it'll be good for me. I wouldn't accept an offensive pic though. A good pic with the results of the two games on it would be good.
