Great win by Celtic... maybe we lacked a bit of luck... but they certainly deserve the credit for taking their chances and they played some quality football also!

It's not that Celtic created a big amount of chances either, they took their chances and we didn't and that was the difference. If any of those had gone in the game would probably have been different.

Add to this the stupid diamond formation, Fernando Santo's loser mentality and incompetence (sorry but it's true those subs and at the time he did them were laughable) and missing each and every chance we had and you may find an explanation.

What I find funny/sad is how Fernando Santos reacted to the loss. It absolutely took me back to his FC Porto days: he talked about how players should respect the opposition and not go all out on attack when losing by a one-goal margin and stuff like that. I mean, that's the kind of stuff us, fans, are supposed to say. Isn't he ******* responsible for everything he said was wrong!? Isn't the job of a manager to take care of those things!?
Either he didn't work his team on those details - which is bad; or he gave those guidelines to the players and they simple pooed on his head - which is even worse!

Great result for Benfica. 
Seemed as if the Celtic folk lost a bit of respect for Benfica in that game in Glasgow a couple weeks ago, and payed for it. Even when they're not at their best, the eagles are one of the top teams in Europe, and forgetting that is taking a step towards defeat.

Well played Benfica. We were dire last night to say the least. In fairness I think it could also be said that Celtic did approach the game in a rather "we're already there"kind of way. we set out for a draw at best and we're taught a harsh lesson. YOu played we'll but we we're also very very bad. 3rd goal was a peach of a move and deserved too. I think the rest of the games will be tough for both teams, a lot changed after last nights results. I felt that ifCeltic and Man U wonlast night, aside from it being over the rest of the games are meaningless. Its better excitement when it goes like this. If we dont qualify, all the best in the CL!
