Great and deserved win for Chelsea (Y)

Shinji was right about the penalty call. Even though the referee can give a foul/freekick/penalty for non-intentional handball, Ferreira gained no advantage from handballing it, so it was a bad a call.

And Surfy: Make up you mind already and remove those billions of pictures in your sig, a normal sig and a banner is fine.....we don't need billions of pointless sponsors.

I hope for sake of football, Chelsea will lose next round. I wish they draw against milan who already kicked ManU's arse without Sheva!

Milan would show Chelsea its own defensive medicine.

and asking to chelsea fans: is it true that there were screen replays in the stadium? isn't that forbidden? Barça players told the ref to look at its linesman and at the screen to see the fault on Valdes on the 4th goal.

and now you sing russian songs? what's next? :kader: ... sorry but I prefered the 4 years ago Chelsea. Maybe you didn't won many titles but I prefered the spirit of that club. Just a personal opinion, don't take it bad. I don't have anything against your club, in fact, I liked it.

That's in most modern stadiums today.

Congrats to chelsea!
I will not go on about "great fotball" or "defensive fotball ruin Barca's chance"that's just so lame!

I just hope they slip up in the EPL!

It's a lame excuse to criticize Chelsea's defensive style, playing that way is a legitimate strategy. The object is to win, not to entertain neutrals watching. Besides, I don't consider Chelsea a super defensive anti-football type team anyhow, it's just that Barca are a lot better at keeping possesion due to their technical ability. Yet, when Chelsea attack they always do it with speed and vigor, not to mention efficiency considering getting 4 agaisnt a team of Barcelona's calibre.

Face it, Chelsea's a great team and Mourinho's a master strategist. Btw, Joe Cole ownz all your asses... :read:

Good call on the penalty (put your hands above your head and the ball hits them, it HAS to be a penalty, period).

Bad call on the Terry goal; the Chelsea defender HELD the Barca GK from moving in the direction in which the header came.

Neither of these calls, IMO, made the difference in the tie; the difference was an own-goal by Belletti in the first leg, and 3-0 up by some great Chelsea counter-attack in the second.

Great, great match, in any case.

Oh, and for the pics, check your PMs:crazyboy:

hurhurhurhur......I thoroughly enjoyed those pics.

I'm clearly a disturbed individual and should be buried in a 7 by 4 wooden box for having taken such pleasure out of 'em.

Impressive stuff from Chelsea.

Before the game, it was like as if the world is against Chelsea:
-Uefa tells Mourinho to keep quiet
-Rijkaard and some Barca players criticises Chelsea
-Chelsea could face Uefa charge, after coming late in 1st leg.

Yeah - and it seems it is mostly people who have watched football for more than a season or two seem to appreciate it.

The German teams of the 80's and 90's also lived with the tag of being ultra-defensive, but they won stuff. Football ebbs and flows like anything else, and this is a knockout competition - basically whatever a team has to do to get through, they do. WHo would care by next week if Chelsea had played ultra-attacking football, but failed to get through? Noone would remember. I can understand people being upset because their team went out, but for all the whingers to start en masse with their cries of 'Chelsea are ruining football' is ridiculous.

amazing for any regular starter, really

and whats this about chelsea the better team, or even a good team at all?? chelsea have destroyed football and what it should stand for by assembling a team based on money and gathering as many big names as possible with just greenbacks. same goes for madrid. if you need that much money to come up with a team that dosent win every single game 4-0 then its just not worth it.

who's this prick?????.....man thats all been said and debated for months ......not only is it boring but it is also a plie of s.h.i.t..........your envy of our club blinds your opinions and makes you look so stupid........if you aint got anything useful to say ,please go and find something useful to say..........:hump:

You're not even a Chelsea fan.. you're someone that has not seen any of the two games between Barça and Chelsea, but your team suck so you make the success of Chelsea your success.

It's never good to talk about a match that you've not seen because then you look like an ignorant.
