I always think about Barça's 03/04 season when it comes to considering the need for a remarkable turnaround between the first and second halves of a season ... it was 6-6-6 (W-D-L) after the first 18 games ... enter Edgar Davids in January! from rounds 19 through 35 (which spanned Jan through May), Barça were unbeaten, winning 14 of 17 ... the team had gone from the bottom half of the table in December, to the runners-up spot at season's end ...

the catalyst that allowed the birth of the modern Barça!
