Remember that no one is endorsing taking someone's work as if it were their own. All patches and everything should be credited and I have yet to see anyone dispute that. This point is moot.
We were talking about off topic and respect. I explained him what I mean for respect. You didn't have to take part in this post because I was not talking about the objective of this thread. I was talking in general given that he talked about "stealing arguments between forum members".

But jschuck12001 has a point. We steal all of EAs work and build from there...
No, it has not. I talked with FIFA producer and they are happy we can do what they can't because of rights problem. Remember that our patches increase the interest around FIFA games. Some patches are even so popular that people buy the game to install them: this was something that happened last year with my Holly & Benji Patch: at least 10 users told me to have bought the game only to put that patch in it.
In the last year, for the rise of NG consolles, I think A LOT of people buy FIFA PC game only because they know they can patch it ;)
I think you undervaluate the importance of patches in FIFA PC games ;)

I saw a point that made no sense. That's all I responded to. You don't get to choose who you are talking to exclusively in a public forum. It's not a one on one discussion.

I didn't say that EA sports was pissed that we use their stuff, or that it wasn't productive. All I said was that we build off of theirs. The reason they enjoy us patching their game (and I agree that they do) is that it broaden's their audience. If for instance I were Jamaican and my favorite team is ''Portmore United F.C.''. I couldn't play with my national team or favorite team right away.

The CONCACAF patch probably made both teams but not the entire league (even if it did make the entire league, pretend it didn't, the point still works). So I can play friendlies or the CONCACAF club tourny with portmore but I never get a shot to play against the teams they actually face.

In this case, who better to make the jamaican league then someone from jamaica who watches it every week??? Even if the first attempt isn't that great, someone from this nation will be able to put intricite details into the patch that we knew nothing about.

The point I'm trying to make refers to the idea that everyone on this forum should be a patch maker in some small way, even if it's just doing research and editing their local league/national team a little. And it's our responsibility as established patch makers to help them learn how to do it.

Yes, this is a good point and I think you are right. But how this match with what you quoted of my post?
Lol, I have understood it: you don't need to repeat it 10 times. Also a Genoa fan is happy to see the right name of the team and right kits and logo without going too far from Europe :D
This is the main goal of every patch maker: to make something EA SPORTS can't make for different reasons (rights, money, laziness, a lot of laziness, very much laziness, very very much laziness and so on :D)

I wish someone would just make the leagues with the correct faces, hair, etc and leave the textures out, this way you avoid copyright problems and you could charge for the shell leagues and do it ethically and provide support to make sure it works correctly in Fifa. I have spent the last 2 months building the entire South American leagues with about half of the CONCACAF leagues with all league and international cups(copa sud, copa lib, recopa sud, world club cup, and I made the superliga a 10 team fantasy tournament with the 1st place teams from England, Spain, Germany, Holland, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, France, Mexico, and MLS. Also have about 4 African leagues and 4 arab leagues and 4 asian leagues, I have a fully working virtual experience with the AFC, Arab Champions league, UEFA, CONCACAF all working in Manager mode and it was complete hell, something I never did before and will probably never try again and I'm still not happy because didnt have enough African leagues to create the African champions league so I put them in the AFC. It would be nice to have enough leagues from each continent to make all international club tournaments work in manager mode, I live in the US and I support South, Central and North American leagues, I am so tired of playing in Europe, its the same thing over and over.

It would be absolutely awesome if you released that as a patch. At least whatever you could. We could use an editor like yourself working on these sorts of things!

The problem is that I have used about 100 resources to build it, very little of it is mine. I wouldnt even know where to start to give thanks to the people that created the stuff. Much was taken from south american fifa sites that I have to use google translate to view the site, there is also some conversion from 2008. It would be a mess and I would probably be attacked by several for forgetting them. I have never posted anything and I would be embarrassed because I am an amateur at best, I just got tired of waiting for someone else to do it so I did it myself.

jschuck12001, release the patch and change nick. The creators wont find your house.

(H). And even if they do, you can always procure the services of a certain cretin called Budulis. :D

So yeh, @jschuck12001: release the patch. I'm sure if you put the names in the credits those sites won't mind. :)
