I thought they could have avoided relegation had he not had that one injury that kept him out for some months.

It's not quite confirmed yet. They still have to deal with Real Madrid. Although it is pretty safe to say that Figo will be wearing red next year. I actually can't wait to see him play in the EPL. It'll be interesting to see how he adapts.
