Good wins by Mexicans
America and Toluca played with their B squad, the budget had nothing to do man, Toluca had a 22 years old avg. in the 2nd half.

Necaxa played with hteir top squad, Kleber is a demon

either way its not Mexican teams fault or Mexican federation that south american teams dont have high budgets....

No one's saying it is.

On another subject, Mexican teams sending their B teams for games won't gain any support or sympathy from SA fans opposed to their participation in the cup.

why do you think they are sending their B teams because finally Mexican teams are realizing that they are getting screwed by Conmebol so I guess a way of getting back at Conmebol is by sending B teams so that at least young Mexican players will get international playing experience (para que se foguen a nivel internacional). about time they started doing this....

no your sending in your b teams because your playing against crappy teams from peru, ecuador ect.
when you finally get to play against a quality team you will send your "a" team with all its stars, but just because you won a match with your b team don't act like the **** is easy, your just lucky enough to play against the crappiest sides of america.

this discussion is getting old , me and passion and others have had this discussion a thousend times over, and it doesnt change the fact mexican clubs are going to be in libertadores for some long time, so why some of you just get over it, their some other crap in libertadores we should be worried and thats the bad seeding for example.(:/)

The only ones getting screwed are the SA teams that play Mexican B sides. Great for your youth teams, but what are the SA teams getting out of it? Not much, besides humiliation if they lose.

Its bad enough you're in the cup to begin with, sending your B teams is just adding insult to injury.

The seeding issue has been discussed in this very thread. Maybe we should just close the forum so we stop talking about the same things over and over.

In any case, no one is obligated to participate in any discussion. My comment is valid: Mexicans bitch and moan that SA hates them, sending B teams doesn't help any.

well iam not saying we shouldnt discuss about libertadores, but it seems everytime a mexican club wins someone broughts up that old discussion, and it only leads to a bithching frenzy betwen mexicans as and S.A's, i would like to know whats the point, and yes your comments are valid , to a certain point tought, but anyways you are right, this is a forum , so feel free to bitch about it as much as you want.

If I'd been the one to say that, sarcasm might've actually been a valid way to dismiss everything I said. Too bad I wasn't.

To what point? If you have an argument then type it, don't just hint at it.

Old discussion, it seem its the first time mexican clubs are participating in Libertadores, its been 9 years or more!!!, get over it, mexicans are gonna play Libertadores like it or not, we should be talking about the tournament, not about this "political" stuff, its already boring reading all this post about the same thing (including mine), same arguments, same conclusions.

Im ofiicially out of this discussion, i dont know if its disrespectfull mexican teams sendig B teams, and i dont care, coaches decide tha kind of stuff not the FMF. So IMO i dont see any disrespect at least they do it the whole tournament, sth i dont think is gonna happen.

What floats your boat doesn't necessarily float mine. I personally couldn't give a damn about an in depth discussion of group Y game between team X and Z. "To each their own".

And incidentally, when I started talking about the seeding issue, everyone wanted to talk about the "old" Mexican issue. Now that I'm talking about the Mexican issue, you all want to talk about something else! Make up your minds.

Fine. I'll wait until the next Mexico vs. SA bout. It shouldn't be long, what with the Copa America a couple of months away...

Come on South Americans, show more love...if not with sincerity at least to wind down those endless discussions. You might have a point on wanting those spots for COMMENBOL teams, but is it that hard to get over with? (though it needs to be mentioned in reply to one of jimorrizon posts that Mexican teams can't be possibly screwed by COMMENBOL since they're guests...)

On the original issue, sending the "B" teams is not very good politically, but the Mexican clubs are rightfully entitled to do do it and then give whathever reasons/excuses they want. Not like COMMENBOL will take action anyway.

First goal? It was valid (think you're talking about the 2nd one). But why was Giovani so angry after the goal? I didnt get what was going on.

The goal scored by Ponzio, that one that some players of Colo Colo thought that the referee didn't allow the free kick.

Well if the mexican clubs send their B team on the long term it may be their problem because then the CONMEBOL may not see that with good eyes, and then that could result with mexican team no longer taking part into the cup, which may be good because that could force them to remove the Sudamericana and organize the Libertadores properly.

good win by bolivar against toluca in Mexico, although the 2cnd goal was a clearl gift...

anyhow very good for bolivian football, who are always underdogs

This shows that in the Copa any team, no matter what league they are from, can beat any other team. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Bolivar qualifies to the next round; a tie against Boca Jrs is not bad and a win at Toluca is a great result for them.

BTW Da Silva should play as a striker in Toluca, he's the only one scoring goals for them :p

*sigh* well on 1 hand it's smart for Mexico to do this. But on the other it's kinda sad (The exposure alone from playing a full squad Copa America. It's like not wanting to play the Champions LEague Quarter Final Leg match .......just cause you want to win the "Intertoto Cup" and qualify for the UEFA cup.

(that analogy pretty much says it all).

Cuadro Chico Mentality.....................same story as always....Next topic.
