God damn it. :nape:

How many years till we reach a Semi final. Jesus Christ how we've fallen. (We like owned this tournament up until 1988/89 (Danubio came close to winning that one).

Now look at us.

In my opinion, both Paraguayans have been mediocre. Paniagua can't send a decent cross to save his life, and the only match in which I was pleased with Britez was against Rentistas, in which he scored a goal but it was disallowed (erroneously).

I'm not surprised about Britez. He was HORRIBLE while playing for Olimpia, it was embarrasing to have a player like him in a team with such a rich history. I'm still confused as to how he ended in Nacional (you guys must have blind scouts or something :p )

It's amazing how biased referees go at Monumental, specially in the Libertadores.

- Ferrari should have been sent off.
- Tévez disallowed goal should have not been disallowed, he wasn't in off-side and the got the ball from a player of River.
- Mascherano red card was unfair, Gallardo dived, which could have even been a yellow card for him.

But nevermind, i bet River fans were really mad after Tévez scored. I see it very hard for River still.

Vélez-Newell's 4-2

What a match i guess this had everything possible. It was an amazing match both teams weren't going to give up until the last second.
Mauro Zárate, Ereros and Somoza.
Guess Mauro made an error 'cuz of his inexperience, i mean he got red carded in a very stupid way.

Newell's is so out. I cant even remember the last time Velez lost for 3 goals in their stadium. And probably Castroman will be fit for that match.

I cant believe what Newell's fans did. They waited for more than 10 years to play the Libertadores again and they act like this when they are in it?!

Somoza Man of the match, and Mauro Zarate played a great game but he got red card for stupid things.

I think Elizondo (the referee) did a good job.

The first goal of Velez was amazing.

But again the police seems to have an agreement with a small bunch(say 50 people), so they can act freely and cause the disturbs they did, because most of Newell's supporters were angry because of this. And of course we must not forget the head of this, the president of Newell's that before the president of Huracan lines up as one of the dirtiest and corrupt managments of clubs in Argentina. Both the CSF should sanction, but also AFA should do something about Newell's situation, it's not possible that such an important club is managed like that.

Yeah he was trying to fight that Colombian the entire game (mostly after the way he celebrated the goal)

But the other players visibly wanted to fight him too.

Chivas signed Jose Antonio Olvera (Santos Laguna) for the Copa Libertadores, good signing for them. He's a young Left Back who had a chance to be on the WC squad and has the talent to definitely help out Chivas in the Libertadores.

Hahaha

Loved Bambis vs. Pigs!

Paulo Baier kicking Fabao's nuts after punching the ball away from Ceni! (H)

Ceni is such an actor...

The only downside is that the bambis are through, and I wanted the pigs. because anyone can kick the pigs out, but the bambis will be tough...

Final score: Bambis 2-1 Pigs

Ceni is now the keeper that scored the most goals, 63. (not sure if he's got more than Chilavert or equalled his record)

I quite liked it when I thought Baier had punched his face instead of the ball, but he was just faking it, the bastard. Or maybe it hit his nose as well, but then Baier would hurt his hand.

Comedy facts on the Sao Paulo vs. Palmeiras match...

The ball used in the first half wasn't the official Libertadores ball, it was a ball used in the Brazilian league. Palmeiras said they'll complain to Conmebol about it.

Junior (SP) said before the first match that the only side they'd fear would be Barcelona. Before the second match, Edmundo (Pal) said he'd wear a Barcelona shirt under his Palmeiras jersey. Souza's (SP) interview after the match:
"Edmundo is gonna keep that Barcelona shirt. By the end of the year, we'll play Barcelona for the world title and he'll wear the shirt to support them against us."

I hate them bambis for that arrogance. And who the f*ck is Souza?

1) Sao Pablo :nape: . They literally got handed the next round by that ref (an invisible penalty). Hilarious. (not for Palmeiras Ill asure you)

2) I thought Id never say this. But its been years since I've seen Nacional actually "Get screwed" (Usually we dont play well enough so we let it go). But wow, we actually got screwed last night, like its as if we won the game and the ref decided to call Inter the winners anyways....those goals were completely legit and Inter wasnt doing anything the whole game
:nape:
*sigh* Congrats anyways i guess. Good luck vs. Liga de Quito (pretty much free pass to semis  )
