Cristiano Ronaldo signs new five year deal with Man Utd!

I'd love to see him at Real Madrid, but my country comes first. His development under SAF has been amazing. No point in breaking up something that works. This is great news for Portugal.

Yeah, its not like he was ever going there. I'm sure RM president knew that as well. So Madrid will never feel a thing and finally some of the United fans will stop talking about what will happen if he leaves.

Instead of spending 50 million pounds on Ronaldo, they should invest that money into a real top class manager and a few defensive players. They have Robinho and instead of trying to drive him out, they should build a team around him because i'm sure that if he was at United instead of Ronaldo, he would NOT be miles off what Ronaldo is now, either.

I'm even almost positive that some Real Madrid fans will breath a sigh of relief that the club didn't throw away that much money on one of the best players in the world, but the one that they totally don't need right now.

:D I'm so glad he made that choice! United is the best place for him to be, this season proves it well

...and what's with the picture they chose to put on the article? (H) he looks like he just came out of Sesame Street

That would be about £600k per month.

150 a week. That would make him the highest paid player in EPL, if not the world, after Beckham probably.

Doubt it though, sounds like a fabricated newspaper number. I wouldn't be surprised at something along 100-120, which is what he deserves based on this season.

Funky: I feel you man

he's currently the highest paid footballer in the world, after Danny Mills.

Figo and Beckham will probably top him next season though..
