But its still my opinion that players should have been at a club at least 5 to 7 years and prove their loyalty before earning anything over 60 grand a week. Hes had a good season yes but hes still 21 22. So does that mean his next contract will be 180 grand per week? Whats Rooney on? cant be more than 60 grand a week right plus advertising money and that.
I'm glad hes signed though but theres a feeling Man Utd are being held to ransom by players like Rio and Keane did it as well few years ago demanding a raise. If we sign another big potential player and hes linked with Madrid everyday theres a feeling he will hold us to ransom and we'll be made to pay 150 grand per week to make him stay.
The club should stick to the wage structure. We shouldnt forget United are in 300 million pound debt repayable over 15 years plus. We actually got the highest debts of any club in Europe. We dont want to end up like Leeds. So we cant pay everyone what were paying Ronaldo like Chelsea do to several players like Lampard, Terry, Sehvchenko, Ballack and co.
