I would have to say that the J-league is indeed # 1 in Asia at the moment. By the way, I was over in the Philippines a few years ago & got to watch a few of their Kupal Soccer Association (local league there) matches. Man, that is one crazy league. Everything is legal including body checking & fierce sliding tackles. A lot of contact. Those players were very physical with mediocre football skills.

I agree. The J-league also has the potential to be an elite league in the future. The Saudi league is a good domestic league but I dont think a lot of international stars would be willing to play there.

If you wanna decide if a league is great or not depending on stars involved in that league, then i would say Qatar is the best league since it has Batistuta, Maro Silva, Lebeof, Desailly and many other international players who are very famous.

The Saudi League is really good. The clubs from the league always do well in the AFC Competition. Other Arabic teams to do well while the Japan teams usually gets knocked out earier.
