Hejduk: Veteran of 2 World Cups; Adu: Veteran of 1 MLS season
Hejduk: Heart of Columbus' defence; Adu: Heart of DC United's bench
Hejduk: Earns his paycheck every time he plays; Adu: Monetary drain on MLS
I rest my case.
Hejduk: can't cross... or dribble... or pass; Adu: already one of the better attacking players in MLS at age 15Avalanche1996 said:MLS Compare-Contrast: Frankie Hejduk v. Freddy Adu

Hejduk: third-best defender on the Columbus squad; Adu: should start for DC, the way some of their starters have been playing
Hejduk: Earns his paycheck by defending well, running up and down the field and contributing NOTHING to the offense; Adu: huge boost of income for the league
No way. He disappears for 2/3 of most games. I can easily name 15 better attackers in MLS. Probably 30, if I really tried.Run DMB said:Hejduk: can't cross... or dribble... or pass; Adu: already one of the better attacking players in MLS at age 15
Hejduk occasionally gets in a decent cross, and hell he throws his body around enough to create some chances. He almost scored tonight. And you could say his tireless running helps the offense indirectly, by tiring out the other team's fullback. And c'mon Shifty, you've got to admit that, even if he does make great marketing material for MLS, Adu hasn't shown enough on the field to yet earn that huge salary of his.Run DMB said:Hejduk: Earns his paycheck by defending well, running up and down the field and contributing NOTHING to the offense; Adu: huge boost of income for the league
