You have got to be careful with this because levels higher than 3.0 will cause high stutter on cutscenes and scenes where the crowd is highly visible.
Too high is an FPS killer especially with max LOD.

This is tested and proven by Sami 1999 when I sent him some test files, be cautious because you are the only one at this point in time who can edit that file and you will have
a lot of members with lower end specs struggling to play the game with no way of editing the files themselves.
I'll remove the one because it's really for super pc gaming (in my pc I see no fps drop issue with 100x)
So I will share the one with adap diff disabled only (the default inifs+0 to adaptive).
I've writed in the documentation in the past: is required an ultra high performance pc gaming.

What regularcat means in easy language is that if you make the LOD mod, just set the LOD values as the one you did with your cheat engine LOD tool.

That way performance wont be hampered.

To frisgon you can try to start game with warranty voider dll. I don't know if you remember the grass tool I've released for the 17.
If you need will share a pack for you, so you are able to start game with inifs modded.
Anyway this method require a little third party autoinjector in order to inject the dll when the game start. Tested and working in the 18.
The modded inifs file already decompressed will work with every game title version. Also file size is different because the default is compressed.

I quickly tried your gp (two fast 4 minutes matches before to go out). So I haven't yet deeply tested it but what I can say is that the pace was great.
But then I came back and made another quick match and everything was fast and boosted and scripted once again, like your db was disabled by ea (it happens with my db too)

In my db I also tried and changed the rivals.txt.
First I simply erased all the table, but the game recreated it from scratch!! Yes! After reopening the db saved in game with db master the table was exactly the same as before.
So I changed approach and just changed the derby/rivals pairs. So I just paired serie A, EPL, La liga and all the main leagues teams to be rival of some japanese and secondary leagues that you will never play against.
Now the game maintained my settings.
But still there are so many and random boosts I'm still not sure derby matches are actually disabled.
Also if you take a look at the rivals txt many teams have not only 2-3 rival matches but a lot more also against teams you would never say they are rivals!!

Have you guys taken a look at the opponentweak and strong treshold table?. Would that help with reducing boosts?

Your patch is really good thank you for this ! I hope one day we will have a as great as your mods online football game.

I installed the patch and setup the ultra simmulation aggressive + the most realistic data base. I also took your sliders but it was a bit too easy so I change some sliders. I changed the user marking to 67 and the cpu :

- pass errors : 51
- marking : 58
- bad controls : 52

My english is not good and hope you understand me.

I have the feelings that sometimes the fullbacks don't follow my wing players. They are fast and the cpu follow them and don't try to tackle and I can easily cross. It is not hapenning everytime but only few times. Another thing is that the ball leaves to quickly the feet when the pass is done. I don't know if you understand but with the button Y(xbox) or triangle(ps4) the ball leaves too fast the player. Is there any way to correct these two things ?

Do you have suggestions to make the game harder ? I am playing career with Arsenal and i win allmost all of my matches. I know that Arsenal is a good team but I haven't the feelings that bigger teams are really really dangerous.

Fidel if it is possible for the future, EA has updated new faces in the DB ,also of the Italian championship, starting from the new db as the base for the modified one. ;)

Fidel, I hex edited the original initfs_Win32 file you provided, and used your bcrypt.dll.

I played 3 games and it appears teams like Liverpool and Spurs are no longer super-boosted. If this fix really does work, this is a revelation and should be the #1 mod on the top of your mod list as is a true FIFA game-changer. You might want to consider adding a mod folder containing the hex-edited Win32 file and the dll. together in one download package.

Before I get too excited, I have shut off my machine and will test again later as the adaptive difficulty and degree of boosts traditionally changes each time the game restarts.

Now I really want to understand how this all works. First, I tried to hex edit my current initfs_Win32 file (2nd patch applied), but when I searched using the hex editor, there was no adaptive difficulty value listed in the file. So I used your original initfs_Win32 file instead, searched and found the value and edited it, and it worked.

Question: Why isn't the adaptive difficulty value listed in the 2nd Win32 patch file? Does it matter that it isn't?

Another thing: I am testing this on my older laptop, and after installing the edited initfs_Win32 file and your bcrypt.dll, there is a noticeable frame-rate hit. Is there something else added to these files that would cause that, LOD edits or something?

EDIT: Turned the game back on, started up a match against Liverpool, and they are super-boosted again. So something is not working.

Fidel, because your files are all over and it's hard to know which ones we should be using, could you please provide a package with the correct test files that includes the latest hex-edited Win 32 file that goes with the bcrypt.dll file you provided, that will all work with the latest EA patch? Thanks very much.

Which team were you playing against Liverpool when you noticed the boosts?

@Fidel I finally managed to make your init to work, thanks to your tips!!
I Used the ansel sdk and it worked just fine. Didn't even need to use the injector. I just put the 2 ansel dll inside main folder and everything worked well.
And the game played better you can notice that right there.
I don't know if it'll last but it's ok now.
I played career matches (4 in a row without a trace of a boost).
It also must be noticed that I used my rivals.txt that should disable rivalry and again I used your tip about leagues ratings.
Actually I don't know if I used the right table, because there is a table that gives the value of the competition but it's strange international has 5 and epl serie A and turkish denmark etc leagues has 1 too.
Serie b and premiership has 2. Woman has 3. But international 5 seemed odd.
So I just edited another file: competition.txt where comeptition has importance of 1 or 0. I set 0 to all

I did all that and other team tables weeks ago, with no effect.

I tried Fidel's file and Liverpool played as nuts/boosted as ever. I then hex-edited randomize style, randomize mental style, and emotional engine values all to 0. Just played Liverpool, and for the first time since I bought this game, Liverpool played with zero boosts. Had a great game. Is that the answer then? Who knows with these goofy boosts lol. I have to do more testing/play more games before I know for sure.

I'll do what you did and remove mental and emotional. Or maybe I'm not having boosts because I have also mental attributes set to 1 for all the players together with adaptive off

Right, I use a variety of teams when testing.

Good sign: I shut of the game and restarted, and Liverpool still played without boosts. I've noticed in the past that shutting off the game and restarting very often changes the default boost level.

Restarted a third time, still no boosts in exhibition mode. This is starting to look hopeful.

Very simple: open the hex editor and search mental for the two randomize values, and then search emotional. Change the 1 values in all three to 0.

Yes, and that's why I prefer not to upload, they're his files and not mine. Editing his files only takes a moment.

I have restarted the game several times now, and played a variety of teams with no sign of boosts in exhibition mode. For what it's worth and who knows if it will last lol.

EDIT: So far no boosts in tournament mode either.

You need to disable adaptive difficulty or edit its increments until satisfied and also edit the matchintensity table to stop the
game from giving up those 45' and 90' goals every match.

Guys yesterday for the first time I tried to make a friendly with the women's teams, I choose Italy playing at home, start the game and the Puma ball (not selectable in the options) is finally big and great !!!
As in fifa 16 where it give more satisfaction!
Who knows if it can be imported even in men's matches ....

just some experiments I made with initfs: almost everything seems to work.
For example if you enable always fall (you need to remove // and place them somewhere else) players will really fall very often over the pitch.
Setting random fouls to 1 will be something awkard as the referee would probably give you a straight red card.
There must be something else strange about fouls because I activated something more and after a fouling tackle the game crashed

.... this just to say that probably you can do a lot of settings in the init

@bangus you can also disable emotional engine 2

As bangus and other requests, is out:
FIFA 18 ADAPTIVE DIFFICULTY FULLY DISABLED in a rar pack with info etc.
Include adap diff disabled only (the default inifs+0 to adaptive). Check shared beta folder.

Where can I find that shared beta folder?

I can't find either "Mental" nor "Emotional" in FIFA's default initfs_Win32 using Hex Workshop
