Is anyone else having a problem with rx3 master? File master is working fine, but when I try to open rx3 master (from .exe or inside file master) it won't open. The process immediately closes in the task manager.

I am able to use all the tools from Rinaldo excepting Rx3Master. I asked for a solution of this issue years ago. There is no solution.8|

That is bullshit because I supplied the solution years ago.

You need the 2 DLL files below in the graph folder for the tool to function.

d3dref.dll
d3dref9.dll

You're doing all explanations in a single thread? That's gonna be tough for people to search through. Are you planning to index them or create a contents? sg search function ain't that good...

Yes, for each forum.

I'm tired of having to move threads around the forum all the time because members can't follow a simple format.

Before you say something like it doesn't matter what forum the question is in, etc ask yourself how you would feel if I brought an entirely off topic discussion into one of your threads and regardless of how you ask me to stop I continue to ignore your wishes.

In my earlier statements, I just meant that we should either rename or re-purpose the existing forums to better reflect or respond to the way people thought they were working.

I agree that the example you brought up could be frustrating. And, moving posts out of a thread could be exhausting.

I also know it's incredibly difficult to find specific content on this site (especially if English is not your primary language). I just want us to be sensitive to that too.

I'm not trying to criticize you.

I know you are not trying to criticize me, I was just putting that example out
there.

The language barrier here only goes so far in this instance, regardless of
the language you speak the principle is basic and needs to be followed.

If you speak English enough to create a thread looking for replies then you speak English enough to search and read.

I think the problem comes when you don't know the word for the thing you need to search. Someone on moddingway recently put up a post about his line textures not being smooth on the corners of the models in his game. If you do a search on this forum for "line textures not smooth" you get tons of hits where something was said about lines, textures or smoothness. But, it's really tough to dig through all of those threads to find one that really covers what it is you're looking for.

If they knew the word aliasing or anti-aliasing, they would get this this thread as the second hit: http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3783714&highlight=antialiasing#post3783714

which has tons of great information in it. How many people who barely speak the language know the words aliasing or anti-aliasing. Or even, "jagged."

I know we have tried an FAQ before and it didn't work terribly well, but it seems like what we need to do more of is

1. Provide a central location where answers are stored.
2. Encourage people responding in the community to either link to where in the FAQ the person can find their answer OR at least encourage the person to use certain search terms.

Anyway. This is a soapbox issue for me because I've spent hours on forums like this trying to self-teach coding. If you don't know the search term you really need, you can end up getting very stuck (searching) for a very long time. Then when you finally do post, you get slammed for not searching. This forum especially can really be brutal.

I hope that's a fair response? For what it's worth, I think I misunderstood initially what you meant by putting all the explanations in one thread. Sorry for that misunderstanding. I think it will be fine if we can help people a little more with how exactly to search for what they are looking for.

This was what was in place for the last 3 years.

FIFA Forum for questions and FIFA Editing Forum for answers.

Basically the question gets asked in the FIFA Forum, if it gets answered and solved it is moved to the FIFA Editing Forum.

Keeps the forum tidy and easily accessible.

I have tried this, you should know what you are looking for is titled.

If you don't know the terms just goes to show how much one is either inactive or doesn't spend time reading threads.

My goal is to keep this forum clean and information easily accessible and readily available but the format must be followed for this to happen.

It is why I am so strict about threads in the incorrect forums, it causes clutter and helps nobody while aggravating members who like the format.

I know this work around has been posted years ago. But it wasn't a fix for me and many members. I am pretty sure I tried all the solutions available in the internet and none of them could fix the problem.

I know we have 1 in place, I said as much. But, 2, we don't. And saying that people should just know is really unfair. It's a hobby not a job for most. They shouldn't have to "spend time" searching through all of the forums. You can't know unless you either stumble on it or someone tells you. There just isn't any other way.

Remember that the more people we get who know things, the more we can create. It's more important that we help people through the basics than it is for them to spend a long time reading every post. Anyway, please consider encouraging the community to link to answers or provide search terms instead of just saying "search." The latter helps no one.

I'll leave it there
