Should have been in the teens, although this score does give me the maximum 10 points for the prediction league :S (H)
AZ really failed to do a good job for the goal difference there. Sparta are very lucky to get away like that.

Willem II Tilburg 1 - 2 RKC Waalwijk

Saw the Almelo-PSV match, pretty even game. If Heracles plays like that for the whole season, they could target a top 10 finish, the defence and the midfield were OK, but the attack was kind of dull.

meh I think the same thing as last year is going to happen this season with AZ. Doing great all season but falling back at the end losing in the 132th minute of the semi final UEFA Cup to Adriaanse's Porto(becoming third in the CL group), while we are champions for months already...

Awful performance by PSV, that's obvious. I do think this might be a good thing though, the players now actually see that taking a match so easy, will not bring them points. This is going to be good for PSV in the long end i think. I think Hiddink made a big mistake too, a midfield of Lucius-Simons (Bouma)-Cocu is too defensive. Farfan should go be in mid IMO, or Afellay or Vayrynen and Beasley in the starting line-up.

Also the fake pitch didnt help us. They seemed to hold back way too much (also part of the taking the match to easy) and they seemed ''surprised'' by some balls.

PSV really needs a creative man on the midfield, Kalou would help (He in the attack ofcourse) but I would like Barreto too.

What do you think of Talpa btw? I think it's awful. I agree it stayed the same for most parts, but a commercial break every 15 minutes isnt actually a nice thing.

Commercials aren't nice indeed but have they ever been that?
I think it's quite ok, the commentators are ok and I think Genee is a very good presentator.

Yeah, much better than his replacement at Voetbal Insite... Barbara Barend is too pro Ajax. She'll become more objective though.


The commentary at Talpa isn't too good, honestly, but it'll get better with experience as well. The analists seem to be there for decoration only though, if you have people drive over from Groningen to Hilversum in an hour and a half, might as well have them talk more than 5 sentences :S

Yesterday was even worse :(

Cody, what's your situation on Lee? PSV wants to hold him for 3-4 years, and rejected the offers from EPL.

PSV probably cant keep him for 3-4 years, he wont sign a new contract I think. They wont sell him this season though. But he's replacable, before last year he wasnt anything good.

I hope the Ajax staff was right when they rejected Kone last year. Now more than a year ago and there still is no clear reason why he was rejected and if he succeeds at PSV I'll be so pissed at the staff that I will not go to the Arena for 10 years(alright this promise isn't going to take long before it's broken).

It was a bad game, Willem II was slightly better, got the bigger chances, but Vonlanthen scored a great goal (Y)
