Univision is the only way to go.

I was hoping to watch the ABC HD feeds and either listen to futbol de Primera AM or the Univision sound, but the freaking delays are so horrendous. The games are being shown on like 5 second delay...

granted there is no audience for it in the states......but come on......this is the world cup, and there is enough of an audience for it.


All ESPN has to do is watch ....one...CL game on the crappiest European station to understand how they are to broadcast the games properly.


Step 1......get anouncers from Europe that know what the hell they, and who the hell they are talking about.

example....during the Iran-Mexico game one of the anouncers said and I quote....." Mexico are simply punishing Iraq"

To be honest, commentators are rarely interesting in any sport. Football, baseball, basketball, Olympics etc...Most of the time I wish they would just shut the hell up. I really doubt it's better anywhere else in the world. Sure there is the rare announcer that you enjoy (like Harry Carey drunk in the booth) but for the most part they are all just boring windbags. I have been watching Univision and I don't miss the commentary at all.

The top is taken up by the score, time and sponsor while the bottom is filled by the stupid sport ticker. You can't concentrate on the game with this visual buggery and then they'll splash some huge graphic on regarding upcoming coverage or something obscuring the game.

Are you kidding me? The game wouldn't be the same if I didn't know Vikash Dhorasoo is the first WC player of Indian decent :fool:

Saw the ESPN hilites on FSW Report...that ticker is really annoying and the score graphic at the topic of the screen is so Major League Baseball!

I actually like the score at the top much better than the traditional annoying little box that occupies the left corner of the screen and always seems to block part of the field. If you want to complain about something complain about them not showing the national anthems (really a shame) and the way they show the starting line-ups. I just tune in to Univision before each game to see those.

The commentary isn't any worse than any other commentary and the graphics are great, you can't complain about that. As for the stats? What do you expect, Americans love stats and Kader you are right the WC would not be the same if I didn't know that

the only time they showed a national team anthem was before the usa and czech republic and they only showed the united states anthem. as for the ticker, i have gotten used to it but it is a little distracting because at least for me my eyes always drift towards the bottom of the screen. the score thing across the top of the tv reminds me of american football being show on Fox. Fox usually has the ticker at the top of the screen, i miss the little box. the starting lineup across the bottom of the screen is the thing i dislike the most, it takes up a good part of the bottom of the screen.

NFL like presentation for the world cup IMO would be fantastic. Without American broadcasters though.

Yah, I got sports net and tsn on satilite. Bad thing is TSN is owned by ESPN and yet espn gets the ****y broadcasting!
